The FDIC: What Do Banks Really Do With Your Money? [view article]
Good article and excellent recommendations. Ain't it time to try honesty in banking?

Please more info, though, on how the Fed and banks interact?

"Note to Sheila: Should I have any facts wrong in this article, I would be more than happy to clear them up."

Heck - sounds like she is more apt to have you arrested for "disturbing the Peace" than responding to your observations.

I guess that's the New World Order we have heard so much about.

IndyMac: 'Don't Label Us a Sub-Prime Lender' [view article]
No question that IndyMac's earnings will be down, since the demand for loans is sinking. Still, it's always nice to be able to issue a clarifying press release like theirs. Thanks for the info. Reply

I think Cramer is saying that the twelve stocks are "guilty by association" even if that association is tenuous. They seem to be lumped in together with the problem companies. Reply

Short Plays for More Housing Market Weakness [view article]
My comment is: " hang on baby it is going to be a hell of a ride " New construction is almost at a hault in my area of California. New construction is one of the states leading employers. The disfunctioinal raising of prices in this housing bubble, coupled with subprime foreclosures, arm loans with higher payments and UNEMPLOYMENT will cause a foreclosure rate higher than we have ever seen. The price of property will deflate back to early 1990's prices and we will see interest rates below 5% again. I would be very surprised if anything can stop this from happening. The good new is we will have some affordable housing. Reply
