- Thursday, April 18, 10:36 AM Northwest Biotherapeutics (NWBO -4.2%) falls hard after announcing a $10M direct placement (price is $3.90) with "one healthcare-dedicated institutional investor" who also received warrant coverage of 40% (exercise price $4.29) for a term of five years. 6 Comments [On the Move, Healthcare]
- Tuesday, April 16, 10:30 AM Northwest Biotherapeutics (NWBO +5.7%) racks up a solid gain this morning after saying that it's Phase III clinical trial for Glioblastoma multiforme brain cancer has been adopted as a national priority trial in the UK. The process focuses on producing pure dendritic cells, which are much more potent in their capacity to activate the immune system than those produced by the standard methods used throughout academia and industry today. - Thursday, March 7, 8:30 AM Northwest Biotherapeutics (NWBO +2%) expects to complete the enrollment of a 312-patient Phase III trial for its Glioblastoma multiforme brain cancer drug by Q1 or early Q2 next year. NW Bio says its recruitment is faster or more efficient than that for rival drugs, including for treatments from Celldex (CLDX), Immunocellular (IMUC) and Agenus (AGEN). (PR) 1 Comment [Healthcare]
- Wednesday, November 21, 2012, 10:09 AM SA author Austrolib provides a run-through of cancer vaccines from the "underwhelming to the exciting." The latter includes OncoVEX from Amgen (AMGN), which would be a buy if it weren't "skirting its all-time highs of $89 a share." Even more interesting are DCVax-L (brain) and DCVax-Direct (inoperable tumors) from Northwest Biotherapeutics (NWBO.OB). The problem is that Northwest has little cash and lots of debt notes. Comment!
