  • March 6 Quanex Building Products (NX -9.6%) shares slide after reporting a wider-than-expected FQ1 loss, as consolidation costs and continued weak demand from the housing market weighed on the bottom line. Increasing residential foreclosures and stringent credit conditions will make this a difficult year for the housing industry, the company says.
