The Fund will normally invest at least 90% of its total assets in common stocks that comprise the Index. The Index is designed to provide capital appreciation by thoroughly evaluating companies based on a variety of investment merit criteria, including fundamental growth, stock valuation, investment timeliness and risk factors.

In a major policy reversal, the DoJ filed an amicus brief late yesterday saying human DNA and other genes shouldn't be eligible for patents. It's unclear whether the Patent Office will adopt the position, which could potentially force some biotech firms to change the way they develop drugs.
