  • May 17 Children's Place (PLCE +6%) posted a mixed Q1 result, beating on a per share basis but missing slightly on revenue. Net earnings slumped 19% Y/Y despite a modest increase in sales as the retailer's bid to cut costs and reshape its operations hurt bottom line margins. The stock is trading higher today, however, as forward-looking investors react to the company raising the low end of its FY12 forecast.
