Best, Worst Performing Stocks on Earnings [view article]
The stock market got bit in the butt, today. Now the street realizes that they are in a BEAR MARKET. Worst than that its a long term
    DEPRESSION and not a RECESSION.
Paulson must be smoking funny tobacco, he didn't make any sense this morning on CNBC. He refused to address the problems that are effecting the every day Jane & Joe. All he is doing is bailing out the crooked element on wall street, and protecting the WHITE HOUSE.
What we have isn't Capitalism its like the gang that ran the government in Russia when Joe Stalin was the boss, its call socialism for the few to reap rewards for stiffing the people.
I wouldn't buy anything the market has to offer, until the new administration takes over next year. We need government for the people by the people, not government and lobbyist for the rich and corporate America. We need to get rid of the sumo self proclaimed elite.

The Risk/Return Tradeoff For Technology Stocks [view article]
Is there a caveat here. Some Questions. Why are my highly speculative PANL and TIVO stocks slightly rising while my cash rich quality stuff and recently high risers are being hammered? On a broader question why are bread and butter companies, i.e. consumer retailers that normally survive bad times, going down in a supposedly good economy with high employment? And why are the precious metals going down also? I think that the dirty, no-longer-secret truth is, that the highly leveraged fund managers are exiting their over extended borrowing and lending practices by selling the hard earned cash value of their best stocks (our profits) in order to survive.

More to the point about Apple, the survival mind set of the hedge fund manager is to take the profits in cash or commodities for their credit bailout by selling the most valuable things in the house first before they are foreclosed on by their international banking creditors. They will publically attribute this large sale of profitable companies as profit taking and are praying that JQ public will not realize what a sh*t bag of a financial mess they have created.

Time To Invest In Service Oriented Architecture [view article]
I agree with the article. Software services, like web services, make software service delivery easier. Plus, I'm against calling software a "good." It's intangible, in its operative form. So it doesn't align correctly to distribute it as if it were a "good" when it's more of a design of service. It ultimately becomes uncompetitive (or anticompetitive just to survive a little longer, like Microsoft). Reply
