Friday, April 12, 9:52 AM Praxair (PX -0.4%) begins operating an air separation plant in Brazil under a long-term contract. The plant (the company's fifth in the region) is capable of producing 220 tons of oxygen, nitrogen, and argon per day. Yesterday, PX acquired a carbon dioxide plant in Indiana for an undisclosed sum in order to "better serve customers in the Cincinnati and Louisville areas." 1 Comment

Friday, March 1, 4:30 PM Praxair (PX) updates Q1 EPS guidance towards the low end of estimates, saying that it's now expecting to earn between $1.35 - $1.40 per share, versus the $1.39 consensus by the Street. NuCO2, which sells its products to quick-service restaurants and convenience stores that offer fountain beverages, expects 2013 revenues of $250M and EBITDA of $115M. Thursday, December 20, 2012, 5:20 PM Praxair (PX) is initating a voluntary recall of its Grab 'n Go Vantage portable oxygen cylinder units after becoming aware of a few isolated incidents of ignition inside cylinders that had been knocked over and subject to significant physical impact. The company plans to make a minor modification to the affected units as they come in for routine servicing and filling. Praxair has already communicated with its customers and the FDA. Comment!
