iPhone (AAPL) activations at Canada's Rogers Communications (RCI) were surprisingly weak in Q4, down to 130K from Q3's 255K. While no longer a novelty in Q4, Genuity Capital says it assumed the Christmas selling season would keep sales up.

"Wireless and cable assets are great places in which to be invested in uncertain economic times," Scotia Capital says. It likes Canada's Rogers (RCI -2.4%), which is somewhat shielded from a U.S. slowdown - and for another 10 reasons.

Following wide-spread criticism, including from Apple (AAPL), Rogers (RCI) decided to roll back the pricing of its 6GB iPhone 3G plan to $30 - from a previous $60-115. "We listen to customers... We heard them."
