As oil supplies get tighter and prices rise, Barron's says deepwater drillers Transocean (RIG), Diamond Offshore Drilling (DO) and Noble Corp. (NE) stand to profit nicely. Over the next 12-18 months, their shares could rise 25-100%.

Time to go overweight on energy, Bernstein says, suggesting investors focus on high beta stocks. "With the outlook for the energy space now being as grim as it can be... we believe there is limited downside to the beta energy names," firm says, upping CHK, TLM and RIG while downgrading XOM and OXY.

Noble (NE), the #3 U.S. offshore oil driller, plans to re-incorporate in Switzerland for its tax advantages (8-K). Transocean (RIG), the world's #1 offshore driller, and Weatherford International (WFT), are planning similar moves.
