The patent defines the technology for "A control method and apparatus for critical rotational speed avoidance in a compressor expander set in a gas refrigeration system." The technology has been applied to LNG applications as well as gas plants and other critical applications where the compressor-expander machine is core to the process. | Comment!

Net earnings rose 15% Y/Y on solid sales growth out of its medical and scientific-imaging business and RF-technology unit, offsetting declines in its industrial-technology and energy systems-and-controls divisions. Operating margin increased 1.1% to 25.1%. The company raised EPS estimates for the year to reflect its pending acquisition of Managed Health Care Associates. It now expects to earn between $5.76 to $5.94 per share, versus its earlier view of $5.60 to $5.82. | Comment!
