Monday, January 23, 2012, 1:50 PM SuccessFactors (SFSF -0.6%), which is due to be acquired by SAP in an all-cash deal, is off slightly after disclosing the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS) is investigating the acquisition. Given SAP's minimal presence in the cloud HR software space, the odds of an investigation derailing the merger would appear to be low. Comment! [Tech, M&A]

Monday, December 5, 2011, 9:09 AM Taleo (TLEO) +15.7% premarket after BMO Capital Markets upgrades shares and raises its target price to $40, following SAP's bid for Taleo rival SuccessFactors (SFSF). Investors will view Taleo as "the most obvious acquisition candidate and that Oracle is the most obvious buyer," but BMO also likes its low relative valuation and 20%-30% billings growth rate, on par with SFSF.
