Friday, May 10, 8:58 AM More on Progenics' (PGNX) earnings: Relistor sales rise 47% Q/Q and fall 37% Y/Y, as royalties were $1.2M in Q1 compared to $1.8M in Q1 2012. Data from Salix (SLXP) (which said on its CC that prescription growth increased 52% Y/Y) including the regional breakdown, shows Relistor net sales of $6.7M in the U.S. and $1M outside the country. SLXP also notes that it believes a path forward for the drug (in terms of expanding its indications) "could be reached with the FDA" this year. PGNX shares +21% premarket. (PR) Comment! Monday, December 31, 2012, 3:37 PM Salix Pharmaceutical's (SLXP +1.4%) moves up after the FDA approves Fulyzaq to relieve symptoms of diarrhea in HIV/AIDS patients taking antiretroviral therapy. The drug, which is the first of its kind to relieve diarrhea in AIDS patients and is a common reason why patients discontinue or switch their antiretroviral therapies, is distributed by SLXP under license from Napo Pharmaceuticals. Sales of its key antibiotic drug Xifaxan jumped 43%, leaving analysts estimates in the dust. Net profit rose 4.6% as the drug developer saw continued strength in sales of its Xifaxan tablets. The company also raised its FY12 outlook to $2.86 per share, up from its previous view of $2.59 a share, reflecting its March placement of $690M in senior notes. Comment!
