Updated Year-End S&P 500 Price Targets from Wall Street Strategists [view article]
yeah that is real useful, so you are basically saying that all these highly paid people are just throwing darts and eventually a 3rd of them will be proven right and they will say, told you so, and get new clients. Next year, another set of guys will be right and told you so and meanwhile, most of the guys who will be right this year, will tell their clients, that I was right the last time, so we all make mistakes. I guess, we all will do just as well by asking a 3 year old... Reply

April Jobs - Another Report from Bizarro World [view article]
great article that really stands out against the senseless bullish cheerleading by others who just took the hedaline stuff at face value and declared yet another impending up-turn for the economy while the bls report actually suggessts exactly the opposite Reply

Bernanke Urges Action to Slow Foreclosures [view article]
another well written and really enjoyable and informative piece by you. thanks for that.
I especially liked that phrase by bernanke:

"to be effective, such programs must be tightly targeted to borrowers at the highest risk of foreclosure." Qualification guidelines could be set, such as identifying an amount of debt compared with income, or the extent to which the home value is below the mortgage amount, he indicated."

my comment (in addition to yours): yeah, right. the dumbest and most reckless borrowers who never could afford their mortgages anyway should be bailed out first and foremost.
paid for by the prudent people who live within their means. populism of the worst kind which will ultimately destroy the entire society
