The Software HOLDRSSM Trust issues Depositary Receipts called Software HOLDRSSM representing your undivided beneficial ownership in the common stock or American depositary shares of a group of specified companies that are involved in various segments of the software industry. The Bank of New York is the trustee. You only may acquire, hold or transfer Software HOLDRS in a round-lot amount of 100 Software HOLDRS or round-lot multiples. Software HOLDRS are separate from the underlying deposited common stocks or American depositary shares that are represented by the Software HOLDRS.
