Friday, May 3, 5:43 PM An FDA panel has voted 17-1 that Amgen's (AMGN) blood-boosting drugs would benefit radiation survivors in the event of a nuclear attack. The drugs, known as Leukocyte growth factor drugs, are normally given to cancer patients to combat the effects of chemotherapy. The panel observed monkeys exposed to radiation, and those given AMGN's Neupogen showed a greater likelihood of survival, and the FDA says it's likely to provide the same benefit to people as well. Monday, March 25, 5:29 AM The Supreme Court is due to hear a "pay for delay" a case today over whether it's legal for drug companies to pay generic rivals tens of millions of dollars to hold off from launching copycat versions of medicines. The case is the FTC vs Actavis (ACT) and involves Abbott Labs' (ABT) AndroGel testosterone treatment. The FTC says the practice costs customers $3.5B a year, while drug firms argue that it protects innovation.

TDune75: Dear s89 - Brokerage "Target" prices are absolutely meaningless, worthless information. If $TEVA hits $46 I'm a seller hand over fist.

Steffen Jørgensen: Agree TDune75, but Teva is a long-term inv. due to growth in dividend, revenues and EPS. The domegraphic conditions looks good as well.
