- Friday, April 5, 2:38 PM Terex (TEX -2.8%) is downgraded to Market Perform at Wells Fargo, which cites increased concerns about the market for construction cranes. In addition to sluggish U.S. capital investment trends pressuring demand for TEX's products, the firm sees further deterioration in EU construction trends weighing on crane demand. 1 Comment [Quick Ideas, On the Move]
- Tuesday, February 19, 6:15 PM Terex Corporation (TEX): Q4 EPS of -$0.28 may not be comparable to consensus of $0.40. Revenue of $1.70B misses by $130M. Shares -2.3% AH. (PR) Comment! [Earnings, Breaking News, On the Move]

After-hours top losers: TEX -7%. MCP -6%. OSK -6%. LVNTA -5%. SIVB -4%. Comment! [On the Move] - Thursday, October 25, 2012, 2:41 PM Construction machinery maker Terex (TEX -5.3%) gets hit after beating on its Q3 EPS report but coming up short on revenue earlier this morning. Profit declined 18% Y/Y as sales weakened in its construction and cranes segments. CEO Ron DeFeo notes that macroeconomic events have created near-term softening of demand and uncertainty in many of its business segments. As a result, the company now expects full-year revenue to come in at the low end of its guidance. 1 Comment [Earnings, On the Move]
- Tuesday, September 25, 2012, 2:29 PM Heavy equipment makers lag the broader market after Caterpillar (CAT -3.2%) lowered its 2015 guidance due to slumping demand for mining equipment as well as a sluggish global economic recovery. CAT's cautious forecast is infecting other stocks that also depend on countries like China to keep building homes and factories: JOY -4%, TEX -4.2%, MTW -5.5%. 4 Comments [Global & FX, On the Move]
- Thursday, July 26, 2012, 10:47 AM Terex (TEX) roars 23% higher following its Q2 EPS beat and increase in FY guidance. Swings to net profit of $85.9M from loss of $0.5M a year earlier. 12-months orders backlog +18% to $2.08B. Now expects FY EPS of $1.95-$2.05 vs. $1.65-$1.85 prior and consensus of $1.76. Forecasts revenue of $7.5B-$7.8B vs. $7.5B-$8B prior and consensus of $7.93B. Comment! [Earnings, On the Move]

The firm cites global macro concerns and European exposure for the downgrade. Comment! [On the Move]
- Tuesday, May 29, 2012, 1:04 PM Terex (TEX) +9.45% after a bullish note from BMO Capital Markets, which predicts that equipment rental companies will buy more of the Terex's cranes and aerial work platforms. The segment could "outperform expectations" over the next 12-18 months if non-residential construction spending recovers sooner or stronger than forecast, BMO says. Comment! [On the Move]
- Wednesday, April 18, 2012, 11:14 AM A day after scoring a nifty 5.9% gain inspired by a Wells Fargo upgrade, shares of Terex (TEX +3.8%) ride higher again. Morningstar says that despite sizable exposure to Western Europe, the company's prospects are sound and a "decent" margin of safety for investors exists. Comment! [On the Move]
- Tuesday, April 17, 2012, 11:29 AM Terex (TEX +5.9%) is upgraded to Outperform from Market Perform at Wells Fargo, which expects TEX's backlogs to "expand and earnings to potentially begin to beat over the next few quarters." Despite a 74% YTD gain in the shares and "potential continued short-term rotation away from TEX, we expect the stock will be lifted by improving demand and positive pricing." Comment! [On the Move]
- Thursday, February 16, 2012, 9:09 AM Terex (TEX) +3.1% premarket after reporting Q4 earnings and revenues that beat expectations, as the construction machinery maker's aerial-work platform business helped boost margins. TEX projects 2012 EPS of $1.65-$1.85 on sales growth of 15%-20%, assuming no "material worsening" of the European debt crisis. Comment! [On the Move]
- Wednesday, February 15, 2012, 5:40 PM Terex (TEX): Q4 EPS of $0.26 beats by $0.02. Revenue of $1.96B (+47.5% Y/Y) beats by $40M. Shares +2% AH. (PR) 1 Comment [Earnings, On the Move]
- Thursday, February 9, 2012, 3:25 PM Shares of Terex (TEX +4%) creep higher after being upgraded to Buy earlier at Longbow Research, citing positive crane survey results and improving fundamentals. Comment! [On the Move]
- Wednesday, January 25, 2012, 12:11 PM KeyBanc raises Terex (TEX +3.5%) to Buy from Hold, citing recent increases in architectural billing and non-residential construction spending in conjunction with improved industry sentiment that suggests construction equipment manufacturers should enjoy an improving revenue environment in 2012. Comment! [On the Move]
- Thursday, January 19, 2012, 11:32 AM Terex (TEX +4.7%) moves up after Baird raises its rating to Outperform, noting the company has better earnings power and a lower sales multiple than its peers. Conversely, the firm cuts Astec Industries (ASTE +0.8%) to Neutral on valuation, saying the stock is within 10% of its $38 price target. Comment! [On the Move]
