Irate Icahn - Fast Money Recap (9/19/08) [view article]
I way pretty disappointed in the Carl Ichan visit to Fast Money. He seemed a little disoriented and was interested in telling long winded stories with no point. They kept rolling into commercials while he was talking. I felt bad for him. (Not sure how much sympathy I can muster for a billionaire.) He did not come off well. They should do some prep next time or keep him focused on a relevant point. There was not much value add to his appearance in fact it was a distraction form the overall show.I really enjoy when the Fast Money crew go to remote locations (Silicon Valley, Miami, Chicago, even the Time Warner Center) keep up the remotes.

If he's such a great analyst, how come we don't ever hear his Average Yearly Returns advertised left and right? They should be awesome. The only fact I know about this clown is that he used to work at Goldman Sachs.Mental note to self: don't take Goldman Sachs seriously. Reply

I used to get a good trading idea occasionally from the Fast Money people, but lately they seem to be pumping the same stuff every day...Nagerian coal, the bald guy Walmart and Finerman continues to be short BBT and she mentions it over and over...she is getting killed on that one! At this point in time it appears that the battle lines have been drawn. On one side we have Treasury ,FED ,Congress and the Administration .On the orher side we have Mr.Cramer and members of the CNBC crew.
I can only recall Mr.Cramer recommending Taser(Stock) at close to one hundred dollars.
CNBC? disseminated mostly inaccurate details about the current "stabilization&qu... program untill the key details were finally announced.
When the "smoke" finally clears,I believe the Treasury and the "allies" will prevail.
Perhaps a greater global cooperation amongst the monetary authorities will become more pronounced next week.
One more time, rating agencies should sit back a bit untill we can evaluate the stabilization plan and its impact on the corporate universe and economy.
There is an opportunity to turn the chaos into an orderly recovery/boom.
Like every one ,Jim Cramer was wrong and right on his previous calls. Reply

SolarGuy, right on. Is GE the owner of NBC ? and DIS isthe owner of ABC ?
We should demand one channel to be owned by a non-bias organization that people can trust. Reply

Cramer is bearish? Selling into strength that's what it called, meaning a decline is inevitable soon? He is the last person I would think being bearish. Reply@sbcglobal,n

Jim Cramer is doing us all a disservice. We need advice from a different voice. Entertainment is not what we seek from CNBC. ReplyIrate Icahn - Fast Money Recap (9/19/08) [view article]
Ichan is motivated by greed and hubris like all the rest. His entire passion in life is making money, which seems rather soulless to me. And the audience celebrates him like some sort of minor god. He's certainly not celebrated for giving back to the system that has made him wealthy, though I'm sure he has in a minor god-like way. ReplyVolatility
