Competitors have reported similarly low Q1 admissions. THC also reaffirmed its FY13 guidance. (PR, Reuters) Comment! [Healthcare, Earnings, On the Move]

[On the Move] - Friday, March 8, 2:13 PM Tenet (THC +3.3%) shares move up today after CRT Capital boosts its rating to Buy and sets a $51 target. The firm cites a number of positive catalysts, including it's strong quarterly performance recently, improved free-cash flow and expected benefits from the health-care overhaul, whose positive impact hasn't even been felt yet. CRT says the Street may be significantly underestimating the power of upcoming reform measures, which aren't even set to kick in until 2015. 1 Comment [Healthcare, On the Move]

- Thursday, January 24, 12:00 PM In addition to its reaching an agreement with Health Net (HNT +1%) on reimbursement rates, Tenet Healthcare (THC +3.5%) gets an added boost from an upgrade to Outperform at Raymond James. The firm says that despite the run we've already seen in hospital stocks, there's still room for THC. The company has solid free cash flow and its refinancing efforts will only add more that down the road. Additional growth drivers, such as the Conifer health-information business and benefits from the health-care overhaul, should help propel the stock higher over the near term. Comment! [Healthcare, On the Move]
- Thursday, January 24, 11:50 AM Managed-care provider Health Net (HNT +1%) says it's reached a new agreement with Tenet Healthcare (THC +3.5%), which reinstates a relationship with the THC's network of hospitals in California that expired in December to an inability to agree on reimbursement amounts.
