- Friday, December 7, 2012, 3:35 AM Google (GOOG) has reportedly set today as the provisional deadline for the last round of bidding for Motorola's set-top box business, which could bring in offers of $1.5-2.5B. Potential suitors include cable-equipment maker Arris (ARRS), Britain's Pace, France's Technicolor and P-E firms. Despite its TV software, Google is selling the unit due to costs and because cable companies might be wary of doing business with Google. 1 Comment [Tech, Consumer]
- Friday, June 29, 2012, 7:32 AM Chinese industrial profits fell 5.3% Y/Y in May vs. a 2.2% drop in April. Shanghai last night rallied with the rest of the world, +1.4%. Comment! [Global & FX]
- Friday, June 8, 2012, 9:56 AM Chinese regulators are reportedly limiting access to corporate filings after a series of incidents in which short-sellers used the information in said filings to deduce accounting irregularities and outright fraud. Sounds like a plan. 6 Comments [Global & FX]
