- Wednesday, May 29, 5:09 PM More on Tilly's (TLYS) Q1 beat: Relatively strong March/April comps fuel better than expected results. Overall, comps growth comes in at 1.1% Y/Y while e-commerce sales rise 16%. Outlook: Management sees FQ2 EPS of $0.11-$0.14/share as a fiscal year calendar shift will result in "the first peak week of the back-to-school season … fall[ing] in the end of Q2." For FY13 the company sees EPS of $0.76-0.82/share versus consensus of $0.81. Shares +2% AH. (PR) Comment! [Consumer, On the Move, Earnings]

- Wednesday, March 20, 7:19 PM More on Tilly's (TLYS): Q4 comes in mixed, beating on a per share basis but coming up slightly shy on the revenue side. Net earnings fell 29% Y/Y as the clothing retailer posted higher income tax expenses. The company guides its current quarter EPS lower, now projecting earnings of between $0.04 and $0.07 a share, below the $0.14 estimate from analysts. It also forecast a comp-store sales decline in the low to mid-single digit range, as traffic and sales were soft in the first few weeks of the period. For FY13 it expects to earn $0.75 to $0.81 a share, which also miss the $0.95 estimate anticipated by the Street. Shares -11.3% AH. Comment! [Consumer, Earnings, On the Move]

- Wednesday, November 28, 2012, 8:43 AM Mall-based retailers are on watch after Express and American Eagle Outfitters delivered Q3 numbers and Q4 guidance solid enough to infuse confidence in traders. Aeropostale (ARO), +3.5% premarket, is an early riser in what could set up to be a retail rush. Comment! [Consumer, On the Move]
