TRND vs. ETF Alternatives
TRND Description
"The RBS US Large Cap Trendpilot Exchange Traded Notes (the “ETNs”) (NYSE Arca: “TRND”) are designed for investors who seek exposure to an index that utilizes a systematic trend-following strategy to provide exposure to either the S&P 500® Total Return Index or the yield on a hypothetical notional investment in 3-month U.S. Treasury bills, depending on the relative performance of the S&P 500® Total Return Index on a simple historical moving average basis. The ETNs do not pay interest, and investors should be willing to lose up to 100% of their investment if the Index declines or does not increase in an
amount sufficient to offset the investor fee."
