Enter your comment hereI was a member, had been for sevral years and one day noticed an invitation to participate in Elections and Leaders discussion baord and when I did, I must say I regreted it because of the rabid responses I got from others there.
I decided to review some 500 pages of archives and 10,000 posts hers one of the examples of hate speech I found:

shoot the illegal aliens as they illegally cross the boards into this country? Shouldn't we just start shooting them and be done with it?

Now, suppose one of these "illegals" is carrying a dirty bomb or antrax?

Shouldn't we just start shooting them and be done with it?

I'm just asking a question to see why we should or shouldn't just shoot them?

Itwould be easy to say this was the exception and not the rule there but its not!

Dont take my word for it? Look on your own?

If you feel this is what you would want to have your classmates associate you to?

well lets part company on this one.

Oh for pointing otu these issues there?

    they canceled my subscrpition.

    CM? We hardly knew Ye?

But we didnt like what we saw!

People are going to fall into their relative degrees of laziness. Some will make Internet videos, others will watch. They'll use sight and sound to connect with each other over the web. They'll arrange to hang out by video over IP and voice over IP. When they hang out, they'll either help each other survive or help each other reproduce. They'll make new friends online, and that will make it even easier to survive and reproduce. So yawn. Reply

Completely agree. I go to classmates a couple of times a year, and there's never anything that would make me want to go back more often. I hoped there would be more, but there wasn't. Maybe if they had made it completely free to allow more participation, and provided more features, it might have been successful (based on ads), but now other sites are better. I've got to wonder if they ever did any research to find out what would make users visit regularly.

Lesser Known, Quality Dividend Payers [view article]
I like your thinking as I am a yield hog too. Check out Genuine Parts (GPC), Diageo (DEO), and KKR Financial (KFN)--it is in the process of de-certfiying as a REIT but still pays 8%. Another stock that is a nice yield that is increasing rapidly and that people don't immmediately think of as a big dividend payer is Home Depot (HD). Reply

Five High Yield Small Cap Stocks [view article]
This is a very old article. I actually suggested New Century as a short on March 1 in my blog:

Four days later, the stock would have provided a return of 67% to a short seller.

Greetings, unfortunately, NEWC was crushed since this article, but there are lots of other good ones out there yielding double digits, including international REITs and the like. I've listed several at my site, feel free to drop in and share your thoughts.

Exploring Joel Greenblatt’s Magic Formula for Picking Value Stocks [view article]
I have followed Joel Greenblatt for a few years. His first book, "How to Become a Stock Market Genius", was by far most informative than the "Magic Formula" (corney title but good book). Arn't we all looking for good companies at a cheap price? Isn't that the name of the game?
I have developed a similar screen that I use to sort these companies out. It focuses on FCF to EV and adds growth as a factor. Value is created by the ROIC being higher than the cost of capital. I also look for stocks with EBITDA margins either high (and likely to stay there) or improving.
There are a few others, but that is the jest of it. Good hunting!

In this Voip Blog apparently, NetZero works over dialup! In the article, they say that the people in the company say that it works well and that you can use it while browsing! Reply
