- Monday, May 20, 10:25 AM UniPixel (UNXL +4.8%) announces the receipt of a $5M milestone payment related to its deal with an unnamed "major touchscreen ecosystem partner;" the payment will be recognized as deferred revenue in Q2. The company adds the installation of equipment for touchscreen film printing lines at its new Kodak facility will start this quarter, and equipment for 6 plating lines will arrive at its Kodak and Lufkin, TX facilities in June/July. Shares are recouping a portion of Friday's huge losses. 7 Comments [Tech, On the Move]
- Friday, May 17, 6:50 PM UniPixel (UNXL -26%) crashed today in the absence of major news. Williams Financial's Cody Acree, who rates shares a Buy: "There were a lot of speculative things today, a lot of which probably got blown out of proportion." Among other things, Acree notes a recent Apple patent application for a large-display touch sensor panel (not a competitive threat), and the fact a 13G filed by Goldberg Capital notes the firm's stake in UniPixel has fallen to 5.25% (Acree says this is only due to dilution from the stock offering). Shares still +99% YTD. 18 Comments [Tech, On the Move]

[On the Move] - Monday, May 13, 2:45 PM UniPixel (UNXL -1.8%) is down, but off its morning lows, after Barron's argues investors should take a cautious approach to the high-flyer. While noting the potential of UniPixel's UniBoss touchscreen film to replace traditional ITO touchscreen tech, the paper also notes the presence of rival film solutions from Atmel (ATML) and Fuji, and discusses the failure of UniPixel's TMOS display panel and fingerprint-resistant film technologies to catch on. 2 Comments [Tech, On the Move]

- Friday, April 26, 3:52 PM Atmel (ATML +5.1%) rallies strongly after touch controller rival Synaptics (SYNA +9%) delivers blowout FQ2 (March quarter) results thanks to a 57% Y/Y increase in mobile-related sales, and offers very strong FQ3 guidance. During its earnings call, Synaptics noted its controllers have been designed into the Samsung Galaxy S4, the HTC One, Sony's Xperia Z, and the BlackBerry Z10 - Atmel is also an S4 supplier. UniPixel (UNXL +2.9%) might also be up in sympathy - Synaptics named UniPixel as one of the metal mesh touch sensor firms it's working with. Comment! [Tech, On the Move, Earnings]
- Thursday, April 18, 12:24 PM UniPixel (UNXL -13.3%) adds to today's losses after Citron Research takes aim, stating talks with a director at i-bank Alvarez & Marsal lead it to believe "Unipixel sold 50% of UniBoss to Kodak for [$12M]." Citron adds the deal is payable in installments, and that it believes it makes UniPixel worth less than $5/share. Citron: "Shareholders should demand an immediate 8-K filing with full disclosure of the complete terms." (stock offering) (Kodak deal) 34 Comments [Tech, On the Move, Quick Ideas]
- Thursday, April 18, 9:12 AM UniPixel (UNXL) -10.7% to $33.96 after pricing its public stock offering (previous) at $32, and announcing 1.2M shares will be sold. The offering will yield net proceeds of $35.8M, and increase the company's diluted share count by nearly 15% from where it stood at the end of 2012. (PR) 6 Comments [Tech, On the Move]

Losers: EXAS -26%. NOK -11%. UNXL -10%. 1 Comment [On the Move] - Wednesday, April 17, 4:14 PM UniPixel (UNXL) -1.8% AH after announcing a public stock offering of undisclosed size. In the prospectus, UniPixel only says it will use the proceeds "for working capital and general corporate purposes" (such as UniBoss manufacturing efforts?) Shares had jumped to new highs earlier today thanks to a bullish Williams Financial note. (PR) Update (5:58PM): Shares are now down 8.1% AH. 23 Comments [Tech, On the Move]
- Wednesday, April 17, 9:33 AM UniPixel (UNXL +5.7%) makes new highs again after Williams Capital raises its PT to $60 from $40 (that puts it slightly above Craig-Hallum's), citing recent deals (I, II) and upbeat meetings with management. The firm thinks the Kodak deal will allow UniPixel to scale production of its UniBoss touch sensor film at a much faster rate, and also make it easier for the company to convince top OEMs to use UniBoss. Chris Hofmann: the patent isn't bad for UNXL. It is a pattern layout, not an actual touch sensor. They would use that pattern with UNXL or ATML, etc. -

$UNXL - >20%. I get to about $2-3 of value. But this is a frothy market with many promotions for enthusiasts to buy. Fun while it lasts. - View all 13 replies

Gloria Kessler: $UNXL Setting expectation of 2014 EPS when sales of units has not been done is pure verbose vapor on your part. Have a good day Chris -
Chris Hofmann: you claim that the CEO lowered future earnings. My simple point was that this was false. He didn't lower or raise expectations of 2013 EPS

scavok: If it all turns out successful to what is being claimed, the gains so far are nothing compared to where it will be in a year. -
scavok: The shorts, who are an incredibly large position, don't believe the technology is real or that they can't manufacture it the way they claim
