There don't seem to be any transportation ETFs listed. Is that because there simply aren't any? ReplyFee Cuts Solidify Vanguard's Position as the ETF Cost Leader [view article]
Excellent article. How's the performance of the Vanguard index funds versus comparable iShares (ie. tracking error from the underlying indexes)? ReplyA guide to technology sector ETFs (IGN, IGV, IGW, BDH, BHH, HHH, IIH, SMH, QQQQ, XLK, IYW, VGT, PXQ, PSI, PSJ) [view article]

Makes sense that the defensive sectors such as healthcare, utilities, materials, and staples weren't down much. Not sure what to make of the big hit to telecom though. ReplyThe Dollar's Impact On Sectors And The Overall Market [view article]
Fascinating article -- thank you Eddy. (I immediately went to your blog to check it out.)I understand why consumer discretionary should be so leveraged to the ER -- a falling dollar implies a need for higher rates, which hits consumer discretionary spending particularly hard.
But why tech? An increasing proportion of tech is exported, and the interest rate leverage on tech investment can't be THAT great. Reply

Did u try with weekly changes? (weekly EUR/USD change vs stock market gains). 1D changes will have a lot of noise in my opinion. ReplyJackson
Primary US Sector ETFs [view article]
Hi Roger,Totally agree -- they certainly deserve a seat at the table. We've broken the sector ETFs into the following groups because there are so many of them:
Global Sector ETFs
etf.seekingalpha.com/a...
Foreign Sector ETFs
etf.seekingalpha.com/a...
Primary US Sector ETFs
etf.seekingalpha.com/a...
Leveraged Sector ETFs

And we're going to group them into individual sectors as well.
Let me know your thoughts on the format we're using.
Best,

Hi all, I think the Rydex Equal Weight, Wisdom Tree Foreign, iShares S&P Global all offer something unique to the groups above. The PowerShares sector funds, while mostly a slightly different mix of the same names also might have a seat at this table? ReplyJackson
