What about IJH? Does your overlooking of this Midcap suggest anything? ReplyExchange-Traded Funds and Closed-End Funds by Asset Class, Type and Provider [view article]
can you please update this list? thanks. ReplyCore Building Blocks: Large, Mid & Small Cap US ETFs [view article]
It seems to me that Vanguard's VV (Large Cap) effectively includes VO (Mid cap) -- reading their description, the VV tracks MSCI Prime 750, which the VO tracks MSCI Midcap 450, and the MSCI site says that the Prime 750 includes the Midcap 450! Does anyone have any idea why they "double-up" the midcap? I.E. My initial plan was to split 33% of my US allocation to each of VV/VO/VB, but on further examination I see that this would give me overexposure to the midcaps. Thoughts/comments? Thanks! ReplyEditors

Richard,Your post is a nifty piece of work, and very helpful as I am currently reconstructing our portfolio (who isn't?). Many thanks, it is much appreciated. Incidentally, I had no problems saving the jpg files in the enlarged format as of 10:00 am asia pac time (10 pm EST). Best Regards,

roncohen,Actually the clickable images are 560 pixels wide. Some browsers reduce large images (they are quite tall) and if you put your mouse over certain parts of the image you get an enlargement icon that allows you to see them it full. They are actually quite large and easy to read.

Mary, I have reported this issue to SeekingAlpha, but need more information to potentially help you. What are you using MAC or PC? That can make a diifferent sometimes. This was done on PC and unfortunately I have MACS, but not at my curren tlocation (on vacation). Just tested SeekingAlpha and my blog and the images open as intended on PC.There may be (1) a cross-platform file compatability issue, (2) a temporary internet glitch that may not be a problem if you try again now, or (3) some kind of operator error.
If you try again and it fails, email me and I will send you the image files as attachments:

There is another mid cap index, Claymore/Clear Mid-Cap Growth (MCG). Although it is new, it is derived from the actively managed Clear Mid Cap Growth portfolio which ranks in the top quartile since inception in Q4 of 2004 among separate account managers in most of the leading performance measurement databases. It is worth a thorough diligence.Disclosure: my firm is the publisher of the index. ClearIndexes.com/mcg Reply
