Thursday, August 30, 2012, 9:00 AM Validus (VR) agrees to acquire Flagstone Reinsurance (FSR) for $600M in cash and stock in a deal that Validus hopes will strengthen its property reinsurance operations. Validus is paying $8.43/share, or a 19% premium to Flagstone's close yesterday - the latter's shares are +17.6% premarket.
