The Google Phone: Blockbuster or Bust? [view article]
Google is not positioning itself against Apple. Its positioning itself against Windows Mobile and its lesser competitors. I'm not sure why people find this so hard to understand. ReplyCapital
The Advantage of Net Payout Yields [view article]
Yes, reverse dilution definitely beats the alternative of stock option dilution that eats into the profits of most tech stocks. ReplyThe Advantage of Net Payout Yields [view article]
Excellent advice. I have always held that share buyback programs should be taken in to account when evaluating a particular stock. As these shares are taken off the market your shares become more valuable, it's nothing more than dilution in reverse. A look at real numbers is helpful too as opposed to percentages. (i.e.) Would you rather have 50% of $10.00 or 10% of $100.00? This is especially true when looking at increases in sales and profits. When an article says that a company has a 10% sales or profit increase, look to see 10% of what! ReplyReforming the Patent System [view article]
I will check that out Jim Carey. I agree. Reply9

If you buy MO PM KO JNJ and KFT you will outperfrm the market while taking into account reinvested divdends ReplyReforming the Patent System [view article]
The best writer on this subject is Lawrence Lessig of Stanford University.Scientists have hoarded their secrets from the beginning and tried to ignore the discoveries of their rivals for their own competitive advantage. It's human nature.
But we now have a system which rewards greed and secrecy and punishes openness and thus retards scientific progress.
Like many other things in America, it needs reforming.
In the computer industry, the Linux/free software model is based on the older scientific model which brought us everything from relativity theory and the atomic bomb to computer science and the Internet.
If we lose our capacity to exchange information freely, we lose science.
If we lose science, we lose our capacity to do free enterprise and we lose America.
Wake up America. Reply

..."bud i like you"....to quote an infamous movie...it's clear you don't understand what diversification means because you're either a day trader or lack fundamental investing knowledge...not all sectors move in tandem....you don't have a crystal ball and you don't know when sectors will turn...great investors are always ahead of the curve and let their portfolios work for them instead of working for your portfolio as you do..."stick to the fundamentals.." my friend and don't play a guessing game or "market timing"....you're too caught up in the movie...get back to reality.......
"intentionally picking losers.." is nonsense talk....... Reply

Why have the prices increased? You are kidding me. Here is yet another Democrat trying to capture media attention while promoting himself as a change agent. Senator Kohl’s letter does not even warrant a response. ReplyThe Advantage of Net Payout Yields [view article]
