WXSP Description
"The Fund seeks investment results that correspond generally to the performance, before the Fund’s fees and expenses, of an equity index called the Wilshire 4500 Completion IndexSM (the “Wilshire 4500SM” or the “Index”). The Fund will normally invest at least 80% of its total assets in equity securities that comprise the Wilshire 4500 and investments that have economic characteristics that are substantially identical to the economic characteristics of the component securities that comprise the Index. Guggenheim Advisors, LLC (the “Investment Adviser”) and Guggenheim Partners Asset Management, LLC (the “Investment Sub-Adviser”) seek a correlation over time of 0.95 or better between the Fund’s performance and the performance of the Index. A figure of 1.00 would represent perfect correlation.
The Fund, using a low cost “passive” or “indexing” investment approach, will seek to replicate, before the Fund’s fees and expenses, the performance of the Wilshire 4500. The Wilshire 4500 is a rules-based index comprised of, as of January 31, 2010, approximately 3,533 securities of U.S. issuers, including common stocks and real estate investment trusts (“REITs”). The Index may include securities of companies of all categories of market capitalizations (subject to the minimum requirements set forth below), as defined by Wilshire Associates Incorporated (“Wilshire” or the “Index Provider”). The Wilshire 4500 is a subset of the Wilshire 5000 Total Market IndexSM (the “Wilshire 5000SM”). Designed to represent the extended market, the Wilshire 4500 is the Wilshire 5000 with the components of the S&P 500 Index® excluded."
