Thursday, April 11, 6:17 PM Ixia (XXIA) cuts its Q1 revenue view after restated prior results. It lowers its top-line guidance by $4M, now expecting revenue of $121M to $123M. Thursday, April 4, 3:00 PM Ixia (XXIA -10.1%) sinks after saying it has found an "additional error" in its revenue recognition practices and will now restate several previous financial statements including those for FY11 and FY10 as well as those for multiple fiscal quarters. Tuesday, March 19, 5:51 PM Ixia (XXIA) -1.7% AH after disclosing it's delaying the filing of its 2012 10-K to correct a revenue-recognition error for warrants and software maintenance contracts. Friday, January 18, 10:16 AM JDS Uniphase (JDSU -2.3%) and Oclaro (OCLR -2.7%) fall after rival Finisar (FNSR -6.2%) gets hit with a downgrade to Underperform from Jefferies over the adoption of silicon photonics tech. Earlier this week, Intel announced its silicon photonics solution, which can enable short-range 100G Ethernet links, would be used in Facebook's increasingly popular Open Compute data center platform. Monday, January 14, 10:58 AM Ixia (XXIA +8.4%) shoots higher after raising its Q4 revenue guidance range to $123.5M-$124.5M from $118M-$122M; the consensus stands at $120.5M. The telecom test equipment hardware vendor adds it expects revenue from two recent acquisitions - Anue and BreakingPoint - to amount to $30M-$31M, above guidance of $26M-$28M. Monday, December 17, 2012, 5:39 PM S&P announces some changes to its indices: United Natural Foods (UNFI) will replace Amerigroup (AGP) in the S&P MidCap 400, and Ixia (XXIA) will replace United Natural Foods in the S&P SmallCap 600. Wellpoint (WLP) is acquiring AGP in a deal expected to be completed soon. Abiomed (ABMD) is also to be added to the S&P 600, replacing Cascade (CASC) as of the December 21st close of trading. Tuesday, August 14, 2012, 9:09 AM JDS Uniphase (JDSU) is buying GenComm, a Korean maker of wireless infrastructure testing gear, for ann undisclosed sum. JDS, which already has a distribution deal with GenComm that produced $7.5M in FY12 revenue, has been trying to lower its exposure to a weak optical component market by growing its telecom testing business, leading it to compete more with vendors such as Agilent (A) and Ixia (XXIA).
