  • Why Apple Will Repeat History And Plunge Into The Abyss: Time To Call It Quits [View article]
We will see the next two quarter with less margins, some what smaller sales number, but still with fantastic profits.
New product will be introduced in Sept/ Oct & sales and profit increase such be expected.
HOW could someone predict a doom to Apple in the foreseeable future!
Yes, their R&D need to be working, but so does any other electronic company.
Why paint the doom & gloom when they are making 50b a year.

  • Pricing Apple's Uncertain Future: A Scenario Model [View article]
Are you really comparing Apple & Blackberry and considering Apples heading in the same direction? Apple has made and will continue to make more profit in one quarter than Amazon, blackberry, & many more of the techs In their entire business life. These profits will continue for the foreseeable future. Just look at the "now projected" increase in iPhone 5 for this quarter. (This is without new product introduction)(or new markets)
With China Mobile going to 4g, you should know that Apple product will introduced within months.
We are looking a tremendous increases in sales & profits--- & you wish to compare with Blackberry!

  • Tim Cook (AAPL) testifies at a Senate hearing on corporate offshore taxes. "We don't depend on tax gimmicks," Cook asserts, while pushing for a big overhaul of U.S. corporate tax code. "Apple has always believed in the simple, not the complex." Sen. John McCain isn't satisfied with Apple's defenses, claiming the company "has violated the spirit of the law if not the letter of the law." Sen. Rand Paul has strongly defended Apple. "Congress should be on trial here for creating a byzantine tax code." (previous[View news story]
Apple has simply followed the same path that 100th of top American companies have done. This IS the American way. Apple should not "led the way" in providing leadership in giving huge taxes to a government that just waste the collected taxes they receive & continues to increase our national debt.
As an Apple stockholder, I only hope to see the non-American profit are used to expand the growth of the company. Please do not give anything extra to our government to waste!
THE SYSTEM IS BROKE. APPLE IS NOT THE ONE TO FIX IT.

  • Apple: The Bottom Has Yet To Be Reached [View article]
Your statement that "you believe Apple stock should not be purchased" was enough said. This is a company which is making 40b + a year. with more cash that most counties in the world, with a PE under 11 (what company do you know that you can buy with that low of PE making this kind of money) with more new products in the pipeline before the end of year (and they have been the world beater at new product introduction).
Are you writing to create an augment, are do just don't like Apple product?

  • Apple's Valuation Is Not Rational [View article]
Probably SA responder should not state the amount of shares they own. It does create an image for that writer of their wealth that other may find troubling. It does not matter if you "only" own a few hundred shares, 10, or 25,000 shares. Your reaction to share price change is the same.

  • Too Many Oil Bargains: Which Stock Is The Best Bet? [View article]
It does not appear that neither of these stocks would be a "buy" at this time; so maybe a different title to your work would be more appropriate.

  • Anadarko A Good Natural Gas Play [View article]
Don't believe the Tronox case or the volatility of the African plays are considered in this valuation. There has been no "cap" allowed on the Tronox case; so I believe APC stock purchase should be in limbo at this time.

  • Apple: Desperately Seeking Capitulation (Part 2) [View article]
What planet are you on? $20.00 phone on a $20.00 plan. Such a phone would barely by a telephone (with very limited range)with no extras. Hardly what the pubic demands.

  • Time To Add Apple To Your Retirement Portfolio [View article]
Boy, are you in left field. Yes; Cook has shown that he is a nonproductive leader (needs to be replace ASAP), but Apple has and will continue to show fantastic profits for the foreseeable future. Stock price will ultimately be determined by profitability, future expected profits, and dividend. All this doomsday writing will be shown for what it is and prudent stock picking will return.

  • Reflections On The Current State Of Apple [View article]
Your thoughts are logical. With that said; the new CEO has not taken action that would boaster stock price, since his takeover. Why you believe he would do anything to help stock price at this time?

  • 6 Reasons To Buy Back Into Apple [View article]
Why would Costco not sell Apple? Apple is now sold at Wal-Mart, Sam's, all the major carriers. Do not make since that a major outlet would avoid a major sales idem, special since Costco operates on the smallest profit % of all the discounters.

  • "After our meeting with a tech-supply chain company, we walked away with the view that Apple will release the iPhone 5S in at least two screen sizes this summer and possibly three," says Topeka's Brian White. "We believe Apple is coming around to the fact that one size per iPhone release does not work for everyone," he adds. Last week, the Apple (AAPL -0.6%) perma-bull/supply-chain tracker predicted a TV with a ring accessory will arrive. Meanwhile, Digitimes reports 5th-gen iPad production will commence in the July-August timeframe; that's in-line with earlier reports[View news story]

  • The mobile patent wars rage on: an ITC administrative law judge rules Samsung's (SSNLF.PK) phones infringe on two more claims of an Apple (AAPL) text-selection patent, while clearing Samsung of infringing a patent related to detecting whether a device is plugged into a microphone jack. In October, the judge ruled Samsung infringed on several Apple patents. A final commission ruling is expected in August. Meanwhile, a German court has invalidated Apple's slide-to-unlock patent, which is being asserted against both Motorola and Samsung. [View news story]
Agreed, no electronic devices will be banned for sale in the US, but that does not mean that a forced royalty could not be installed on offenders. This is how the previous billion dollar settlement from Samsung to Apple was enforced.

  • Is EOG Running On Empty? [View article]
Your opinion that the oil field production companies probably will not see any significant gains in 2013 is the same as mine; but EOG is not the only producer to start changing from gas to oil. Almost all are gearing up to change. The result is (smaller gas production increases) we may start to see Nat gas well above $4; maybe to $5. by the middle of 2014. Most producers can make good money with a $4.25 Nat gas; We can all expect to see good gains in the oil patch within a year.
