I followed the Doc, who left a trail of non-GMO seeds, and found Mercy. Hallelujea !!

Nice to see you again Mercy. StockTalks hasn't been the same since you left.

Hmm....my kind of blog. Mrs. Perkins says our front yard looks like a Disney movie.

@trip, was that wood pecker really pleated, or pileated? (grin)

    Markos and SevenSeas,

Thank you for the civil discussion. It will be very interesting to see what the Greek people decide, and by how much.

  • The Gold Miners Have Probably Bottomed, Even If Gold Has Not! [View instapost]
    Robert,

Thank you for your article. I admire your goal of calling both price and direction of gold and gold stocks. I can not do that myself effectively (as a day trader I really don't have to) although I do manually chart spot gold to get a 5 day sma.

    Questions;
#1. What gold index do you watch while scalping (if any), in addition to 1 minute charts?
#2. Do you still try to "achieve a steady 1% weekly return" as quoted from your profile page?

Thank you again for sharing your insight and experience.

  • Will The Federal Gasoline Tax Increase In 2015? [View instapost]
My son is a truck driver for $ARG. And I just did his income taxes for him. Believe me, a dollar increase, per gallon, would hurt like hell. And that's just so he could get to work in his personal truck. He already has to take into consideration where he goes hunting/fishing (I know you are an outdoorsman, Chris) depending on how much gas it takes to get there. And I mean just within Vermont.

So I totally agree with those above who say that kind of increase (And I agree it should be $1, but for infrastructure only) must be offset by a decrease in the other (income) taxes he has to pay.

And while we're at it, lets do a flat income tax. Reduce the tax code to something sane, that my son could fill out himself. Not that I mind doing it for him.

Lets face it. Neither one is going to happen. Sooner or later, We The People are going to have to take back our country from the politicians.

    Sooner would be better.

    Jeez Poka,

Take it easy on the guy (MeadowA). That was his maiden comment. (grin)

But I'm not going to disagree with what you say regarding energy.

BTW, thanks for coming back. You are always informative, interesting, and yes, entertaining.

    Cheers and Pura Vida !

  • Geron's Short Squeeze Is Here [View article]
LTB, I was going to rant, but saw your post. The only problem...you said "should" and "could". Words that....hmmm...how should I say this....suck! (grin)

Not a GERN investor, just a day trader. But i was surprised, with that news, that GERN did not perform better today. So...I buy your "profit taking" scenario.

If it is just profit taking, then yes, GERN "will" (wink) go up over time, given the new deal. (must have a positive attitude, right?)

Thank you LTB. Have a great weekend.
