  • Value Investors Should Not Overlook Volkswagen [View article]
Doesn't VW own PORSCHE and not the way it's written here? VW took control of PORSCHE, and it's all in the family. Ferdinand Piech from Porsche family side was CEO of VW. Just your basic family company! If it ain't German, it ain't a car.
Ain't CHINA now VW's biggest market, more than Europe now? They are the biggest "foreign" car company there.

I wish someone would do something and ramp this stock back up to where it belongs, I am STILL in the hole, since I bought it when Stern went on the air. Let's get this thing to $10/share at least. Nobody listens to FM, THIS IS RADIO future.

  • Microsoft: The Destruction Of Shareholder Value -- A Failure In Corporate Development [View article]
But the ones with the real ultimate control are the energy companys, when they decide to shut something off, all the technology means nothing, no power, nothing works. Exxon, Shell,Chevron, can turn the world OFF. No Apple toy matters. Without GE or ABB or Siemens turbines generating electricity, nothing matters. If GE or Philips, Siemens says no more light bulbs or medical equipment, what good is the Apple useless toy? It's all relevant as to what really matters. Apple toys, created nothing to improve life.

  • Philips (PHG) claims to have developed an overhead LED tube light that generates 200 lumens of light while consuming just 1W of power, half as much as today's offerings. If used in an LED light bulb, Philips thinks the underlying technology would enable a 60W-replacement bulb that consumes just 5W. Philips says it plans to commercialize the technology in 2015 - Cree (CREE), which last year announced a 200 lumen/watt LED for outdoor applications, will no doubt be watching closely. • Volkswagen (VLKAY.PK) says it will boost its global workforce to 600K to 550K as it keeps a firm foot on the gas in a race to produce more cars than any other automaker. Naturally, the focus will be on adding jobs in China - not Europe where demand is sluggish. [View news story]
The way this is written they increase by going from 600K to 550K that's is not very good gazintas, Jethro Bodine must be writing this. Correctly stated I would suspect is, they will increase employees anywhere from 550K to 600K ADDITIONAL workers. It's tough to write properly, when your JOB is to write! DUH. They have like 330K now or something like that amount? conquer the auto world, they sure is moving on up! they make everything from the world's fasted Bugatti Veyron the the most MPG the XL1. Audi, Porsche,VW, Bentley, Lamborghinni, and more Seat, Skoda, Mann, just don't become GM, and ruin it, looks like now though they are keeping it under control, it's GERMAN, it ain't a car if it ain't GERMAN. GM and Ford make scrap metal, not cars.

  • GE Continues To Grow [View article]
GE is GrEat, Philips is much bigger than GE in lighting. Philips has been #1 in the world for decades of #2 GE. Philips LED is ahead of everybody, Philips owns so many brands Lightolier, Stonco, Hadco, about 30+ fixture brands are all Philips lighting. So inside is all Philips Advance ballasts, and control with is teh biggest maker of ballasts in the world, Philips lamps in all them Philips brand of fixtures, So when Philips buys up pieces of #3 Osram, Philips will be even bigger in lighting. Even in North America Philips is bigger, so to say the GE doesn't fear Philips presence is pure nonsense. Philips medical is growing big big big. Many thing in this article is pure nonsense.
