I invest (technically) part-time, but I love the markets and immerse myself in them daily. I enjoy writing about my investment ideas as it helps me to organize my thoughts and I am happy to share if it helps others. I invite criticism as it will help sharpen my ideas, so please tell me where, in your opinion, I am going wrong.
I am just a regular guy who enjoys investing and trying to provide for the future. My approach is for the long run with only a small/petty amount for the short market. Dividends with some growth is my main objective. I dont claim to be a professional, but I did stay at a holiday once. God bless America "still the land of the free".
Forward View Consulting, located in Virginia, is not your typical investment research provider. We're never interested in hot stocks or Wall Street's darlings of the moment. Every research note and report we publish will be based on a long-term perspective and fundamental research methodologies. That's the Forward View difference. Forward View's proprietary equity valuation model underpins our stock price targets and utilizes years of historical financial statement data to produce detailed forecasts. We have formal ratings, estimates and targets on: Acushnet (GOLF), American Outdoor Brands (AOBC), Big 5 Sporting Goods (BGFV), Brunswick (BC), Cabela's (CAB), Columbia Sportswear (COLM), Camping World (CWH), Dick's Sporting Goods (DKS), Callaway Golf (ELY), Hibbett Sports (HIBB), Johnson Outdoors (JOUT), MarineMax (HZO), Nike (NKE), Newell Brands (NWL), Sportsman's Warehouse (SPWH), Sturm Ruger (RGR), Under Armour (UA/UAA), V.F. Corporation (VFC), Vista Outdoor (VSTO) and West Marine (WMAR).
I am an experienced individual investor who has been trading merger arbitrage stocks and options since the 90's. I am a writer with a Master of Science from Northwestern University and I truly enjoy writing articles about the stock market. I try to look for opportunities where the odds are in my favor and there is a definite edge. On Seeking Alpha my articles will aim to provide insight and favorable risk/reward for the readers. However, I am not an investment advisor so any recomendations or ideas I write about in my articles, blogs, or comments shouldn't be taken as investment advice. I recommend using my writings as a starting point to which you should add your own research or that of an investment advisor.
"Any time you make a bet with the best of it, where the odds are in your favor, you have earned something on that bet, whether you actually win or lose the bet. By the same token, when you make a bet with the worst of it, where the odds are not in your favor, you have lost something, whether you actually win or lose the bet."
