  • Can A Successful Dividend Portfolio Be Assembled In 2014? Part 1 [View article]
I would keep cash for better opportunity down the road. Everything look either at fairly valued or little over value. I am sure if you wait with your cash then you will get good opportunity with in next 9 months. No need to regularly invest every couple weeks or month. Its ok to invest only 2 to 3 times a year when market give good opportunity.

  • Recent Buy: Deere & Company [View article]
Just added 36 shares of DE at $84.60. I know its a good value but with cyclical stocks its PE changes very rapidly with market conditions. So I was waiting for earning to pass before initiating position. This is a great company. Will add more if it drops to $80 otherwise I am OK with 36 shares in the company.

  • Kinder Morgan Energy Partners: I Don't Care About Mr. Market, This 7% Yielder Is A Strong Buy [View article]
The deal will create a company worth $140 billion including debt that combines Kinder Morgan Energy Partners, Kinder Morgan Inc with Kinder Morgan Management and El Paso Pipeline Partners.

I don't know who benefits more? Share holders of KMI or KMP.

I used to own both KMI and KMP but sold KMI and kept KMP for its high yield and also to reduce risk by holding just one.

I am confused with this deal because I don't know who CURRENT holder of KMI or KMP benefits more?

If some one can shade light on this would be great.

  • The Hershey Company Offers The Best Value In The Food Processing Industry [View article]
I started a position in HSY today at $88. From now on I will add more every time it drops by $4. So I will add more at $84 and then at $80. I don't see it going below $80 without any big trouble in broad market.

  • Retirement Strategy: Buy The Dips Portfolio Update With Some Stocks On Sale [View article]
Yesterday afternoon and today early morning most of the blue chip consumer stocks went on sale. I picked up PG, CLX, KO, MCD, GE, KMB, CL, GIS, K, SYY and WMT. Used 80% of dry powder at yesterday closing and today before opening. Would like to add to JNJ next week.

  • Becoming Financially Independent With PepsiCo Dividends [View article]
Long KO, PG, PEP, JNJ, T, SO in order of highest to lowest weight. I wish I had more in JNJ. Need to wait for stock to come under $90.

Added to GE yesterday and added to MCD today.

Most risky stock I hold is PM being my top 5 in weight.

Worst sell I ever made was in SBUX which I bought it at $12 but sold after couple years since they were not paying dividend at that time.

  • Philip Morris: The Dividend Will Eventually Be At Risk [View article]
PM is my top 5 holding, but I do worry. I do think dividend growth can be on hold for couple years or dividend growth will only be like 1Cents for couple years.

I do not think they will cut their dividend. They will either maintain current dividend or increase it by like 1Cents for two to three years until they figure things out.

"We currently view the other Consumer Goods stocks in our Portfolio as better buys for income purposes", what are they?

"but PG would take precedent if its yield reaches a higher level.", how high? like 3.75% that reached in 2012?
