  • Disaster Strikes For American Realty Capital Properties [View article]
When you make so many transactions in so little time then mistakes bound to happen.

I was never a fan of ARCP. I had 250 shares which I sold two weeks ago because of short in capital and I wanted to buy XOM at under $90.

I didn't know this was coming but I want to hold 100% solid company and I was saved from today's disaster.

  • Is There Value In Coca-Cola And IBM After Big Respective Drops? [View article]
IBM is not a tech company. It is software and service company and moving more and more toward IT service provider.

Long IBM. My top ten position.

WB is a financial guy. He understand floating share, profit margin, and cashflow that IBM generate. He is not stupid to build IBM as his top 3 position. I won't be surprised if he is buying IBM again and might make his #2 position.

IBM is fine. Don't think of it as tech company. I would think of it as service company.

  • Confused, Bothered And Bewildered [View article]
BAX is on my watch list to add.

I was busy last week buying CVX, XOM, RDS.B, BP, COP, EPD, KMI (Energy was getting bargain last week, I had to buy more of what market give.)

I also purchased KRFT, UL, K, GIS, IBM, AFL, DEO.

BAX is next to add more. May be next week.

    CapeCapMgmt,
I am a big fan of Dividend Mantra. I am myself panicked couple times in past to boost yield so I can reach my goal sooner. I have always been in positive returns with those high yield picks because I always pick them at very bargain price since they are not very attractive, but after some time I am not too happy holding them.

I wanted to know if there is any parallel to me. I know that he has left his day time job so wanted to know that inside of him wants to hurry to boost yield because I was surprise by his pick the last couple times.

I personally have been selling some high yield that I picked up in 2011 with very good profit and buying XOM, UL, CVX and DEO which I find good value in recent sell off.

I want 99% solid core holding.

I am long ARCP in a very little amount. I am surprise with your pick in current market selloff. Are you little panicking to boost your yield?

I personally picked up XOM, DEO, UL and very little CVX last week and took advantage of Energy and Europe selloff (UK may raise interest rate soon).

  • General Mills: Moving Ahead Despite Challenges [View article]
I am long GIS. Its my 4th largest position behind KO, PG and PEP.

All my friends and family know GIS as maker of cereal.

We have 600 people in building where I work and I don't see anyone eating cereal for there breakfast.

Do you have any further information on what type of innovative products they are working on?

I am not a fan of this company. I am fearful to invest in company like this. Market is selling off this week and I see better companies with better bargains.

  • Clorox: A Value Stock [View article]
This is the main reason I don't want CLX as my top holding because I have fear someone will buy this company and I will lose on my dividend yield on cost for which I waited for many years to build.

  • Clorox: A Value Stock [View article]
CLX current yield drop to 4% on March 6, 2009. If CLX price drop to $74 then it would yield 4% with today's dividend payout.

I don't see any 2009 like condition in markets any time soon.

It will increase its dividend by about 6% again next year.

With above condition, I don't see CLX dropping below $80 and if it does then I don't see it staying there for more then a week.

Long CLX, it holds 5th spot in my portfolio on % weight. I wold like to trim a little and like to drop at 10th spot. 5th spot is kind of by accident and not by design because I loaded up on stock when it was cheap in 2011, 2012, and 2013 and earlier in 2014.

  • Buying The Hershey Company Is A Good Choice For Dividend Growth Investors [View article]
I like the company and have very small position in it, but it is very expensive at this time. I would like to wait until it goes under $80.
