So true and well said. The "all clear sign" does not typically come until the multiyear bull market top has occurred, which it hasn't in my opinion.

  • The Fed Putting America In A Hole [View article]
Congrats Stan, there is more to your picture than Seeking Alpha, I just went by what I see on this site and seems since the June low this year you have been very bearish all the way up. My apologies for the characterization and best regards.

It is relevant, as your bearish bias has, by your own admissions, kept you in cash all year as the market is up double digit percentages. Finding a narrative to fit your position is nothing short of confirmation bias, the most detrimental occurrence for an investor/trader. In other words, your mind has been made up several hundred S&P point ago, you missed the boat and now are digging your heels in. You will learn eventually. Best regards.

James and Stanley, how much money have you made being uber bears for the last several months and years?

  • Stocks: Don't Hold Your Breath For More Fed Stimulus [View article]
Eric, great analysis on the coincident circumstance of previous QE, though you are missing the objective of the Fed's dual mandate.

One, to keep the unemployment rate relatively low. Two, to keep inflation relatively low.

BOTH of these dual mandate measures encourage further QE. 8.2% unemployment is NOT acceptable to the Fed, and there is fear of deflation rather than inflation now which the Fed does NOT like.

I believe it is flawed logic to attempt to pin a range on the SPX that would encourage further easing. The Fed does NOT use the stock market as their leading indicator to stimulus decisions, they use their dual mandate of low unemployment and low inflation.

  • Silver Over $50? Are We Joking? [View article]
Glad to see you are back, at an opportune time I must say. The first wave took about two months to appreciate $11. No crystal ball I know, but what does Elliott Wave tell you about the rapidity of the upcoming 3rd wave reaching the 37 area? Two months, shorter or longer?

Best wishes to you and your family.

  • Initial Jobless Claims: Where Are The Skeptics Now? [View article]
The jobs data is the best it has been since early 2008 and early 2000. Those two points in time preceded by a few months massive losses in the equity markets followed by recessions. Great, I can't wait!

  • Current Rate Of Silver Buying Cannot Continue At Current Price [View article]
A very interesting article that has shed some light on something I was not aware of. It is interesting to think over a billion ounces of silver are traded in the paper market each day, when there is nowhere near that in the physical market. The disconnect seems bound to revert at some point.

The last paragraph brings me back to the 10k portfolio strategy, I love it! Looking forward to your high conviction and high risk plays. I will forecast that it may involve some reloading of NFLX puts, just a hunch.

    Good luck.

  • Silver Leading Gold Downward [View article]
I also like the fact you were pumping gold and silver up only two weeks ago at their recent highs of the year, and now you are turning bearish because of a little consolidation. You flip flop more than a fish out of water.

Have conviction for more than a couple weeks.

    Good luck.
