  • BlackBerry: The Bear Case, The Bull Case And My Case [View article]
I hope the CEOs will compare their analyst's projections with the actual Q1 results. Good analysts should be rewarded and bad analysts should be fired. George, you did an excellent job in providing us with the comparison. May be you can give us a projected-v-actual comparison (with more analysts included).

  • Early feedback on U.K./Canadian BlackBerry Q10 (BBRY -4%) sales indicate volumes below expectations, says Cleveland Research. The firm also thinks Z10 sell-thru is likely half of what it was around launch time, and believes BB10 build targets for the next few quarters could fall to 6M-8M from 10M-12M. Likewise, Pac Crest remains bearish, and calls the U.K./Canadian Q10 launches a "mess." The remarks follow a pessimistic note about BB10 sales on Monday from Canaccord, and one on April 25 from Wedge Partners. Jefferies has been more positive. [View news story]
Would anybody like to take on a job to keep track of what all the analysts have said and will say about BlackBerry from 2012? The results will be very interesting. This may weed out the firms and analysts who mislead investors and reward those really deserve our trust. Hopefully, it will also lead to multiple law-suits and class-actions.

  • If BlackBerry 10 Fails, Can The Company Survive On Services And Software? [View article]
I agree with Zzoot1, manicdvin, Antishorts and Justforfun that it is not logical for somebody who is that negative about BlackBerry to hold onto it stocks. I believe you are short BlackBerry and you are frustrated that it is not going down. Sorry, it is not going to work!

  • BlackBerry's Stock Price Manipulated [View article]
It is a case of one fool makes many! I would like to see this idiot analyst substantiate his claim by providing the public with the name of each outlet and exactly how much each outlet has sold and returned. Perhaps some lawyer should start a class action on Detwiler Fenton in both the US and Canada.

  • BlackBerry's Blunder In India [View article]
Why didn't Vlad tell Roll Royce, Mercedes, BMW, Jaguar, and Porsche that they made a blunder in marketing their cars in India? Why do these company choose to market their vehicles there? Does Vlad know more than the marketing experts? India is a country with extreme poor and extreme rich. Given the size of the population, the extreme rich is still a sizable sector. If some of this sector can afford the high costs of European cars, a lot more people in this sector can afford a mere few hundred dollars Blackberry. This is niche marketing. I tend to trust the judgement of Blackberry's marketing experts more than the author.

  • Samsung (SSNLF.PK) has made corporate sales a "top three priority" for its mobile-phone unit, but while it has a 16% market share vs 50% for Apple (AAPL) and 10% for BlackBerry (BBRY), security concerns exist given Samsung's use of Android. To help overcome those fears, Samsung has teamed up with GD (GD) to get Pentagon approval, while it's also poached execs from rivals and mobile-security companies. [View news story]
Blackberry is the gold standard of corporate and government security. I surely will not take the security risk to try an unproven phone system even if they pay me!

  • BB10 Launch: Large Step For RIM, Small Step To Regain Market Share [View article]
I am a loyal RIM customer and I own 3,700 RIM shares. I have so far made over $18,000 on RIM shares I bought since mid-December 2012, enough to pay for 25.7 BB10 phones. For anybody who wants to get just a free BB10 phone, I suggest you buy 100 shares of RIM. In a matter of months your stock appreciation will more than enough to pay for your phone once, twice or more.

  • Sandstorm Gold (SAND), newly listed on the NYSE today, may warrant more attention than the typical junior miner making the jump up. President and CEO Nolan Watson had been CFO of Silver Wheaton (SLW), where he “helped raise over $1B in debt and equity to fund Silver Wheaton’s growth to a $5B market capitalization in less than five years.” [View news story]
