The thing that angers me is people I know, who had their life savings in stocks, got scared out of the market at Dow 8000- 9000 + - on the way down and sold stocks like BAC for like 5 bucks as it headed to 2's and CAT at like $25 on the way to $22. They were assured by the street this recession would last years and that the stimulus would not be enough, guys like Cramer saying hold onto your money for FIVE YEARS.... yada yada yada ...now they are kicking themselves for selling at such low levels.
I happened to just trade in and out short and long so am doing pretty good but feel for them who were buy and holders.

GS is a criminal company make no mistake and if the SEC pulled their head out of their arses and investigated them , among others, they will find a huge amount o skeltons in their drive in closet. ]]>

The Absurdities of 'Buy American' http://seekingalpha.com/article/154812-the-absurdities-of-buy-american?source=feed#comment-621913 621913
That may be true but have you thought about how WEAK the dollar has gotten? I feel BUY AMERICAN is a MUST if we are to have $2.50 gasoline for the next couple years. And since consumer spending is 70% od GDP I think it is safe to say low gasoline prices will make it a lot easier for Americans to have a little disposable income. If we are buying products from Germany, Japan, China, Australia and other nations all we are doing is helping their economies which in turn inflates their currencies and sends the US Dollar into a downward spiral and that sends OIL UP UP UP....as it is directly tied to the dollar. The entire world is going to lose jobs for the next year or 2 regardless ( China has much bigger problems than people realize as does Japan) ... we may as well keep our dollar from getting crushed further and try and strengthen it as to keep crude prices down. The Canadian dollar in March was almost $1.30 not it is almost PAR to the dollar. The GB pound was $1.36 and now is at $1.70 and the Euro was in the $1.23 range and is now at $1.44 and the Aussie Dollar has made HUGE gains... THAT is why oil went from $33 to $75 since March. Protectionism is not good long term, but sometimes it is neccessary and this is definitely one of those times in History where it is most needed in the USA ]]>

The Dollar story is interesting. I see forecast of the Euro going to 1.47 and Pound to 1.70 near term but then Falling big time to Euro 1.32 and Pound 1.40 later in the year....which tells me the Forex traders expect a CRASH in the stock market late year or early 2010

but ride the market up while u can ]]>

Groundbreaking WSJ Story on Gold http://seekingalpha.com/article/147952-groundbreaking-wsj-story-on-gold?source=feed#comment-604414 604414

As an inflation hedge, gold’s record isn’t perfect either. After reaching a record high of $850 per ounce in January 1980, gold’s price fell almost 44% in two months. It didn’t reach $850 again until January 2008, meaning it was flat while inflation rose 175%,
So if we are going to repeat that hyperinflation of the 80's and gold went down 44% then...I just wanted the author to confirm my belief that belief with the fed printing presses in full gear this time around we are likely to have the opposite happen in the years to come...Gold at $1200-$1400 I bougt Yamana Gold at $3.50 ok...
and have bought and sold it 10 times since. I will buy anytime I see it under 9 bucks ... and add every 40 cents down from that point and it is getting near that level again after a dumb downgrade today
