  • We May Be Much Closer To A Defining Moment Than Monday's Market Rally Would Suggest [View article]
Exactly, exactly. Europe is already collapsing, but you won't read about it in the newspapers until it's over.

What exactly is "debt monetization" anyway, and if it's so easy why didn't they do it long ago?

Is that something like when governments and banks give money they can't really afford to give to other banks that have gone bankrupt so we can say they have been "recapitalized"?

Isn't that ponzi scheme getting a bit long in the tooth?

The article is really not that bad, but I wish you would replace "defining moment" with what you specifically expect to happen.

  • Global Market Outlook: Warning Lights Flashing [View article]
Again, if governments can simply come in and "recapitalize" or "inject liquidity into the system" to solve the problem, then it is not a real "crisis", and we should stop using such hyperbole.

A problem can be readily fixed through monetary controls. A crisis is beyond one's control to easily fix, and implies a lack of conrol.
