It was back in year 2007. I was an angry kid at my university graduation ceremony who realized after studying and working hard for 4 years, I make less money than bus drivers, and analyzing mining samples in a boring laboratory.
While having a conversation with my lab manager, she said "Why don't you study accounting, my daughter makes $140,000 as an accountant" After hearing this, I quit my job at the lab and registered for studying accounting. After graduating again and working about 7 months without pay in an accounting firm, my current boss saved me from the painful "jobless" condition.
I do not have high ...More incomes as other people do, but one of my strength in investment is that I am not materially attached to goods as other people, and this allows me to save more than others.
I am currently managing around $150,000 investment portfolio, and my goal is to have annual $50,000 dividends or other investment incomes because my definition of "rich" person is who make $50,000 without working.
Currently, working as an accountant, this opportunity allows me to learn about various operations in various industries, different managements, and taxation. I am hoping continue to develop my knowledge in accounting as well as build up my confidence so that I can manage my own business in a future.
Besides investment and accounting, I am interested in I'Ching - book of changes. One of my life goals is to thoroughly understand all the changes in events, relations, etc, and write a book or thesis about "time". If you are also interested in I'Ching, you can always contact me.
