  • Alstom Desperate, General Electric Moves In For The Kill [View article]
Immelt a good CEO? You have got to be kidding! He has been the head of GE for over 14 years now and GE is still not back on track. It took only 4 years for the Allies to come from behind and win WWII. GE will never be GE again until the stockholders get rid of Immelt, the "bored" of directors, and out of the nuclear business.
    Enjoy!

  • Is There Any Power Left In Plug Power? Guru Funds Don't Think So. [View article]
    TW1990:
It is a membrane made out of proteins! Probably made by 3-D printing. This is probably the first part of a fuel cell made from 3-D printing.
The writer of the article probably has some inside info.

  • Plug Power turns sharply lower as non-binding fuel cell JV fails to excite [View news story]
    Leopard:
Lockheed had a fuel cell submarine way back in the 1960s! Nuclear submarines use fuel cells for O2! Germany and Spain have a number of fuel cell powered submarines!H2 has been safely manufactured and use for over 200 years! H2 is used in many manufacturing processes and in welding! H2 is also piped over pipelines and has been for a long time!

  • Pentagon warns of major cuts due to sequestration [View news story]
Remember the 1920's? Probably not. As the socialistic school system has successfully obliterated our history! We gave up most of our navy and army to show how much we loved peace. Sure we love peace. But a country has to be strong to keep those who care little for peace in their place. "It is not enough to be good, one has to be strong!" "The meek shall inherit the earth!" Sure, six feet of it. The neighborhood I grew up in was tough, and only the tough survived. The world today is no different than my neighborhood, only on a larger scale. Maybe we do over spend on our military. But I want to know that if, and or when the time comes, our military will be prepared. Remember Pearl Harbor! Remember Korea!

HISTORY REPEATES ITSELF. HE WHO IGNORES THE PAST IS DOOMED TO REPEAT IT. PLUG CERTAINLY HAS NOT IGNORED THE PAST AND CONTINUES TO
REPEAT IT. AND, FIGURES DON'T LIE, BUT LIARS FIGURE. SO...GO FIGURE!

  • 7 Questions For Plug Power Investors [View article]
    sarafriend:
I been following and teaching fuel cell technology (off and on) for some 50 years. I believe that the future power technology of the world will be fuel cells (of course powered by H2), but you have to remember that Plug, and other fuel cell companies are not religions. Religions only require faith. Fuel cell companies, like all companies, work on facts and statistics, not beliefs, or faith.

  • Will Plug Power Revolutionize The Sector? [View article]
    pensaman:
Most auto dealers I have dealt with over the years (50) know little or nothing about automobiles. This goes for most of the public. GM proved that years ago. They depend on hype and fast talk and rarely like to spend anytime with people who asks intelligent questions. And you expect them to understand RCBEVs and FCEVs? Do you think if the general public REALLY knew anything about hybrids they would have bought any?

  • Will Plug Power Revolutionize The Sector? [View article]
    Slimj:
The U.S. has not had a refinery built in the lower 48 for over 30 years. Clinton and the environmentalists stated that the U.S. should have $10/gal gas like Europe to cut consumption. So we can ride a bicycle to work while the rich Clinton's ride in their limousines!

  • Tesla - 20 Key Risks That Longs Are Ignoring [View article]
    Curt:
Economics 101 teaches that there "ain't no such thing as a free lunch." As for the tax credits, eco. 101--i.e. the tax payer is being forced by the government to pay for Tesla's EV. Eco. 101 again. Charging at home is not cheaper in the long run. Consider the cost of the chargers and the installation costs. And the cost of electrons is sure to rise, as it is here in Georgia already, to pay for new nuclear plants. As for breaking, that only works part of the time, as the car must maintain a certain speed to keep the generator going, below that speed the hydraulic brakes kick in.
Note: I am not anti EV, but let's keep emotion out of the equation and stick to the facts.

The author does not have the engineering, science, of experience of the EV, and so makes a statement like that out of sheer ignorance.

  • GM's Ignition Vs. Tesla's Titanium And 'Befuddling' Peak Deliveries [View article]
    Surfer:
So vots new? GM has been producing junk since the end of WWII. They found that flash and style sold cars, not quality. So they used cheap paints and parts and out-sold the other car companies who tried to compete with quality. It finally caught up with GM, and the only people who buy GM cars today are union members, old people trying to relieve the past, and those who know nothing about cars. Barra is not the only one to go. GM has to change its whole philosophy of business. And that means cleaning out not only Barra, but the board of directors and much of lower management. Obama will not be around for-ever to keep bailing out the unions with tax payer money!

  • Silence On Gigafactory Partnerships Suggest Tesla Might Be A Near-Term Short [View article]
    cpsusa:
Which goes to show you have little, if any, engineering or physics background. No matter how you, or anyone else try, you can not get three pounds of flour from a one pound sack. The so called hybrid is an engineering joke and only transports the smog from the city to the suburb. If you are going to install a gas engine, throw off all the electrical components and the reduced weight will probably get you 80 miles to a gallon.

  • Don't Confuse Plug Power With Tesla [View article]
    David:
I believe you need to be educated about H2. What do you think natural gas consists of? What do you think Town Gas consists of? What do you think methane gas consists of? Etc., etc. H2 of course. H2 has been produced, transported, and used safely for some 200 years. Sure, because of the inherent nature of H2, it presents some challenges, which, if you do your research, have been solved. And, WHAT economic problem? Go to your local welding shop and you will probably find a tank of H2 there; used for what? Welding, of course. An equal tank of gasoline is far more dangerous that an equal tank of H2. I could go on and on, but I leave it up to you to do a bit of research!
    Enjoy!
