  • The Amazon.com 'Come To Jesus' Earnings Report [View article]
"Continuing with a Buy rating, but lowering the price target is BofA's Justin Post who cuts to $400 from $420, noting the Q3 profit outlook as coming in well below expectations."

Did I miss something here? The Q3 PROFIT outlook well below expectations? Or the Q3 LOSS outlook well beyond expectations?

"Cowen's John Blackledge maintaining his Outperform rating but lowering the price target to $390 from $410."

A possible 1,000,000,000 LOSS for a single quarter. And Justin and John just reduced the price target by less 5%. Those analysts are just as shameless as they could be.

  • Amazon Continues On Without Profits [View article]
Alibaba is coming to town, folks! A huge online retailer giant, with huge PROFITS! Yeah, it is right, a rapidly growing online retailer can do make lots of profits without sacrificing its growth.

  • The Latest Developments In The Amazon.com Saga [View article]
    Hi Paulo,

Thanks for the article. Well written as usual. I just don't understand why AMZN's guidance for Q2 earning is such a big loss. Shouldn't they make some profits after so many measures they took? Or there is some much uglier story behind the curtain?

    Thanks,
    Phil

  • Missing The Point On Amazon's Margins [View article]
I don't think AWS is a high margin business either, otherwise why Amazon reduced AWS' price more than 40 times in the past few years? Based on the author's assumption, they should increase its price instead.

Bravo, Paulo! Another detailed analysis on AMZN. So frankly speaking, more Prime memberships mean deeper deficit for AMZN since it is subsidizing those Prime members (free two day shipping). It becomes more and more like a charity now, doesn't it?

BTW, How is your health condition, feeling better now?
