Gold is headed no where? DOA?
How come it's almost impossible to find a small bar or coin anywhere? The products are "too difficult" to make quickly we're told.
The fact is Comex is a paper rigged casino populated by those desperate to get out of the game with their shirts still on.
Gresham's Law says it all: bad money drives out good. There's plenty of crisp paper being created and passed around but no gold or silver. We're seeing the same phenomenon Gresham saw in the Middle Ages.

Let's think about that. The trees fall down, or burn, anyway. And, is it better to have homeless people roaming the streets? Is forest cutting not a managed thing in this regard?
The fundamental disturbance to the environment is the fact there are just too many people chasing too many things with too many corporate interests providing such at the lowest possible cost while shirking their envirnmental responsibilities. A balance must be found.

Is it possible the maligned USD may become the currency backed by gold?
When gold dropped to under $300 and the world embraced the "strong" USD perhaps gold was quietly being re-purchased. When, finally, an audit is done on Fort Knox it may well be there's a lot more there than suspected and a "gold-backed" new USD will arise, like a phoenix, once again.
Debts, of course, will be in "old USD's" and left to fend for themselves.
