  • Oil & Gas Stocks: Pain, Then More Pain... When Is The Gain? [View article]
Great article----time for my Christmas list, Part Deux. What I see and hear is a stampede for the door and the shorts have a great time. I'm shopping for bargains. The manner that this article is written in helps me pick them off faster.
    What a great opportunity!

  • Linn Energy Suffers Another Blow [View article]
Not an expert, but I see nothing out there that really explains this savage drop in world oil prices except certain geopolitical skullduggery. Yep. We all know it is a commodity of its own type and there is an ebb and flow.

This article seems one of conjecture and emotion. Or in translation, I can't cover my massive shorts if there is a bounce of any kind.

As for me, I will sit tight on what I have, but it is clearly time for more shopping. After all, it is Christmas.

  • The 'Immense Opportunity' Is Not In Exxon, It's In Small-Cap Oil Stocks [View article]
Excellent article. Frankly, I do not see XOM or CVX as bargains at the current prices either, but then I went in with a great big chunk of each in 2004. So, mopping up on fire sale bargains is exactly the best choice, especially a limited commodity via a decent company. The pendulum is always swinging.
Long CVX, XOM, LNCO, a bunch of others and now, MDR & AXAS. Have either more than doubled or tripled money or take back so much in dividends, that I just think that a price dip is a radar blip of little significance other than to add to the pile. Besides, all of the stocks in my list are hedged to the teeth way out in time.

Also added OKE, today. Just too cheap to not nibble at....

    Merry Christmas, indeed!

Interesting to watch the stock price with this article out. Seriously wonder who has shorted. It was ticking along pretty well....until this. Still long. A pox on DiFucci and I agree with the screw loose viewpoint.

  • Linn Energy: Strong Buy On This Ridiculous And Short-Sighted Sell-Off [View article]
There is no justification for oil prices this low other than to break the backs of ISIS and Russia. This strategy is working, too, but guarantee no one is going to own it. Lots of folks singing the song, "Wasn't Me"....and for very good reasons. Have been long since LNCO went out the gate. Face it---the world literally runs on oil and that is not going to change this side of a return to the Stone Age. All commodities have cycles and this one has a geopolitical element, too. Always want to buy more when it is out of 'favor'. This little investment has made me a bunch of $$$. Oh, and it has hedged production.

    Next stop---export US oil.....

  • 13.1% Distribution Linn Energy Had A Good Q3, But It May Be In Trouble If Oil Prices Don't Rise. Sell? [View article]
Perhaps the current dip in oil prices is a political move to crush Russia and ISIS. We can take the hit and so can OPEC. Russia is in deep, deep trouble and ISIS has started printing its own money. The low prices are clearly having an effect. It will squeeze, inflict maximum damage, then rise. As for me, just sitting tight. Too many other geopolitical factors to stay down.

  • Continue To Avoid Linn Energy [View article]
Have been LNCO since the IPO and have added several times. Cry all the way to the bank on a regular basis. The bottom line is profit for the investors. Read many articles on both sides. Not impressed with this one and agree with other posters in that I smell a short.
