    @DRich: Yup.

    <<<The Common is fantastically tradable.<<<

RA: I'm puzzled. Tradable for what?... a profit??? The Common Stock is in secular decline since the RS...well... secular decline ever since it went public if you want to go back that far...

Even the Dead Cat Bounce was pathetic.

Good luck catching the falling knife.

.... oh... and by the way, Stafan, nogoodslacker, jpau, et al:

AXPW is down another 8% as I write this. Cannot get a borrow anywhere. But let's buy, buy, buy! Yea... that's it!

@KISSguy: Rugged DC is correct: I was being sarcastic. Both Rugged and myself lost a significant amount on money betting on this horse.

Sorry for the confusion. Most of the long term followers are fed up.

<<<My biggest disappointment is Axion's inability to recognize the value of the Axionistas. Given the straits the company is in, I think this has proven to be a great blunder, one that TG made and one that DDG seems to be repeating.<<<

Hi Al: I'm sorry, but I believe Axion's management recognized *precisely* the value of the Axionistas. Tom Konrad made a similar comment, to that end.

It was this *recognition* of the steadfast Axionista base vis-a-vis this blog that realistically allowed management to get away with 'no sales' almost indefinitely (and otherwise piss-poor communication and marketing performance).

By use of half-truths and innuendos on CC's (and elsewhere) concerning the "actually state of affairs" at Axion, certain individuals were able to Bonus themselves excessively and collect a very nice paycheck for number of years... well beyond a reasonable timeline.

I believe the Axionista base (specifically this blog outlet on SA) created the mechanism whereas "piss-poor" performance was allowed to thrive unchecked.... hence the Pipe-deals one after another, which were quickly "expained away" as 'necessary' and 'just'... pure BS!

I know that is a hard reality check to stomach... it was very hard for me to accept, but down deep we know it, don't we?

I hold myself accountable for buying into it all when the smart money (Mercy J., Maya, et al) figured it out a long time ago. I lived and learned.

    It is what it is.

After receiving several PM's regarding this particular post (from a previous concentrator), and in light of the excellent post by WayneInOregon, I've decided to re-post it, just in case it got buried and skipped over.

@JRP3: Thanks for clarifying your motives. I, too, have not done well investing in battery companies. Congratulations on being long TSLA. That has been the stock of the year (maybe decade) so far.

My wife and I own a Leaf (which is obviously Li)... 2-year lease, and it has certainly changed the way I feel about the "energy mix." If the tax rebates are there again (next September), I'm quite sure we'll lease another "pure" EV. It makes sense for our situation.

    Good luck in your investments.

    Cheers

<<<I totally agree with the premise OR laid out about Axion management benefiting greatly from the mutual hopium society that this board unfortunately fostered. Maybe an effect of the hopium spell being broken is that we bounce too far in the direction of despair?<<<

@jpau: Well, based on the number of PM's I've received in the last 4 hours, I'd say many, many people are fed-up with the "show."

<<<<Maybe, maybe not. My premise is the tech grows less valuable by the minute. Chinese ownership doesn't really change that.<<<

Ahhhh!.... now we are to the heart of the issue.

You see: I'd like to see the Lead Carbon technology succeed (and find a good niche).

You *appear* to prefer it to fail? If so, why? Do you want energy storage to be dominated by one form factor? If so, why again?

I want several choices to compete in energy storage. That's just me.

My guess is you work in the Li industry and/or your investments are highly levered toward lithium. Do I have this wrong?

<<<If one can negotiate for 2%/month discount on a somewhat 'banged-up" car, this probably is what one could have done for a similarly worn loaner car, anyway.<<<<

@Randy Carlson: You make several good points. Furthermore, since GAAP profitability (or worsening cashflow) has proven absolutely unimportant to the stock price... I'd say... heck... mark 'em down even more!!! It's not going to hurt the stock price anytime soon!

@drax: I think anything is possible... including the stock going north of 300 / share in the near future; contrary to my "view" on this company.

One must obey the price action, and currently, the price is rising, post earnings. Even more noteworthy, the stock price is rising despite a miss on the 35000 number and softer future guidance accompanied by worsening cash flow from operations.

This is contrary to the "way of things" and means "something else" is going on right now. Maybe it's the Musk honeymoon period; maybe an unknown unknown. Tesla probably goes higher still next week... maybe longer. There is no need to fight it.

I believe the charts first and foremost. The charts are currently bullish. When the charts change, my short term opinion will change.

    It is what it is.

<<<<we're only suckers until we're not. this story is far from over.<<<

The PbC (as a tech) is far from over. As far as AXPW? Well, I *hope* you're right.

<<<The fact that you already had a bad one says a lot for the production tolerances.<<<

Not necessarily... that one was... um.... operator error.

I agree that LA comparison to Li is *not* apples to apples... I think that's the point. These are two entirely different cost differentials (and use cycles).

Finally, I agree AXPW is a train wreck. Who do you think ends up with the tech? My latest SWAG is China, based on a Chinese PhD (supposedly) being on the CC. The company is going down the crapper, but the Tech will end up somewhere.

<<<<OR, your point about Axion taking advantage of the Axionista base is quite possibly correct. You can argue that Axion survived the PIPE and was able to do it again because we purchased the shares that the PIPErs dumped which likely enabled them to make a tremendous profit on the deal. They also did this deal because they figured they could count on us to do the same thing again. If my other investment holdings do well then I will consider adding to my Axion position after the B warrants issue has been resolved.<<<<

    Hi again Al,

Thank you for your response. I would think most here agree; this last financing round was (effectively) PIPE #3 (because of the draconian B-warrants).

Is there enough new "fresh meat" arriving at these concentrators (in the coming months) to do a PIPE #4 in February???? Hmmm...

Normally I'd say "no"... but... as they say... a sucker is born every minute.... or something like that.

    "Rinse and repeat" anyone???
