  • Ford Will Continue To Grow [View article]
I have to laugh at some people on here who pounce on every negative opinion as if that opinion alone will drive down the price of Ford stock and they will lose money.

If you own Ford stock and want to come on here and promote the company because you have an investment in it - great. I think that's normal. It's not normal to belittle people who have a different opinion. If you don't like a company, don't trust it, or know something about it that's negative - tell someone. Don't worry about the greedy few who are here promoting a company just for their own profit.

and what made you realize you were getting better mileage just from the flatbed weight reduction?

to bad we can't get pictures on here - nice job anyway.

The Ford Family can barely keep the auto company running with their constant supervision. They are just not "management" people. Mulally realized that after a few years. But Ford wants to sell cheap cars at cheap prices. Ford and Fiat would have gotten a divorce minutes after the marriage. Look at all the other car companies Ford married and divorced.

I agree, Chrysler has made the most impressive comeback with Fiat. It can be done.....................

You are long Ford, and have been for some time. So I'm not surprised that you write about them. I am impressed by the number of articles you write. If you had started writing one article everyday the market was open, and you started nine year ago, you would be where you are at now - 2382 articles. But that's nothing to the almost 10,000 comments. I don't think you need to be long anything, I think you turned SA into a gold mine. Congratulations.

But to get back on point - your average article on Ford is 500-600 words lately. What we get is a rather short summary of the latest news and a summary of what everyone else is saying. Nothing new just a pep talk to keep the faith. I think a guy as smart as you should take the time to give us something in-depth and real and thought provoking.

I've seen Tdot get into your comment log and use over 4000 words in support of Ford, offering tons of facts and figures, and doing an endless amount of research. Hardly seems fair that he's doing all the work. Well you do know how to keep a spirited conversation going.

Good luck - you'll need it if you buy Ford for grocery money.

I applaud your spunk. After the drubbing from the "ungrateful" last week, I though you might take a few days off and heal. I'm glad you're back because your perspective is more unique than most.

Don't get me started on Mulally, I was dumping on him for the last year about his timing on leaving. Your broker must know someone - he was a day in front of the downgrade. What do you have to lose not being in Ford?

It's not going to 30, it's not going to 20 so why wait and worry. Hang in there, the right buying opportunity may be December, but I doubt it.

so then you also accept the fact that Ford blanketing the world with dreams and expectations about aluminum trucks - without putting a few thousand trucks on the road - amounts to the same thing. sell something - while telling everyone it's better than a cure for cancer - and hope it works.

ford's numbers and research would be considered propaganda in some countries and advertising in ours.

Sounds like some people were getting into the lifeboats. Could be careers hitting the wall and the sales inspired by tax considerations.

you rely on estimated EPS and sales. you can't make up "estimates" and call it data.

I work with charts that are accurate for the past - but a guesstimate for the future, just like you do with EPS guesstimates. Intuition, feelings and a dart board are often just as accurate.

  • Ford China Year-To-Date Sales Up 30% with 717,537 Vehicles Sold; August Sales Reach 77,506 Vehicles, Up 9% [View article]
I'll wait till the afternoon shift comes in and we'll all try to read what you just said.

"The first half for all of Asia-Pacific (China, India, Australia, Indonesia, etc.) showed only about $632 net per vehicle (by simple division)."

I'm guessing the profit shown for all car/truck sales in the areas listed divided by the number of car/truck sold equals $632. Wow, are we missing some zeros here? I could do better selling crates of Viagra with no recalls to worry about. I'll wait for more detailed information which I know is only inches away from your finger tips.

I've learned over the years that people who list successes on an open form in great detail aren't telling the whole story.I f your story about investing in Ford is accurate - great job. Most successful people keep the actual details of their success private.

    You said,

"Whatever you are doing, don't stop! If you decide you all of a sudden like this puppy, let me know and I'll lay down some puts on the decline in the price of Ford Motor. Thanks again!!"

You want to start insulting people - you have to expect a response.

never to late to grow up cross. don't like the comment - state your opinion. attacking the person, who's opinion you don't like, doesn't say much for you does it? lot's of people have different views - respect it and move on.
