  • The July 28th Back-To-School Campaign Is A Catalyst For Gains In Aeropostale [View article]
I just looked at their site. It is, at the moment, stock and ordinary, except for one detail. OK, clothing can be sold with an ordinary site... but..:

I just can't get over their epilepsy-inducing "Aero Now" banner.. images switching every .5 seconds. It is awful. They could even get sued for this.

  • Cynk Technology Is The New Scheme In Town [View article]
Amazing. This is really just the culmination of about 5 years of manipulation and abuse of lending shares to short. The SEC (seemingly) decided that it wasn't its job to police this stuff. One very recent seemingly legitimate example of this kind of abuse is Zillow, which traded at 10,000 trailing P/E at half its current price -- now it has no trailing P/E. Shares are controlled by a handful of companies with a tiny float designed to flush shorts and run the price up nearly every week.

Commercial 3D printing is mostly about making plastic toys currently, but there are many applications -- see Makerbot's site for some things one can do. You can also use metal, chocolate, and even wood now. Check out some of the latest CeBIT 3D printing conference videos.

There are many industrial applications of additive printing as well, which DDD is involved in as well. Metal airplane parts can be and are being made that are lighter and stronger than traditional parts, for example, just because the geometry doesn't work otherwise. NASA recently used 3D printing on some of its metal parts for its probes, and it is looking to 3D-print food and plastic spare parts to save space:

In the long term, you could consider radical space applications where 3D printing technology could be used to terraform Mars.

Cheap plastic 3D printing technology has been in the works for over 10 years, but is only now gaining a lot of traction and development support.

    Inventories is not legitimate anymore?

    Goodwill is not legitimate? ._.

These are legitimate balance sheet items. Now, a severe mark-down in both of these is a red flag, such as HPQ's markdown of that hugely overvalued British company.

    And here's another point.

    41.82M in inventories q4 2012
    75.148M in q4 2013
    79.7% rise

Total revenue only went up 45% during that period. But you need to factor in that all the acquisitions require more marketing spend and an initial inventory to get them started.

Your article is simple one-sided and only gives a negative version of "what could be". More in-depth than some of the other hit pieces recently, however.

An institution that was formed to encourage free markets in developing countries is now arguing for the direct government purchases of stocks with an intellectually dishonest caricature of economic history. Amazing.

  • Tesla: Irrational Exuberance Is Clear [View article]
Without Tesla's share price growth brought about by nothing but a short squeeze last year (and manipulators were hitting almost every shorted company last year), they would not have been able to issue a secondary to repay their massive government loan and would have probably been bankrupt by now.
