You might agrue that WP8 is a better experience than iOS or that Windows is Better than OS-X, but those statements are completely subjective. There are people who prefer one over the other and that's okay. Personally, I don't like Windows 8. It's great for a tablet interface, but it's terrible on a desktop. The fact of the matter is it doesn't really matter if one thing is better than another, if Redmond can't sell their new products then they are going to lose marketshare, even in the business sector.

Every time I fly I see lots of people from business executives to teenagers using Apple devices. I see lots of iPads and Macbooks. Did you know that Microsoft Office is coming to the iPad? I don't really agree with everything this author stated, in fact, I find some of the things he said to be quite idiotic, but he has a point.

You do realize that 60 million licenses includes sales to OEMs right? So in other words we don't really know how quickly people are actually adopting Windows 8.

You are correct that Windows sales are up, but if you compare previous launches you can see for yourself that the Windows 8 outlook is bleak at best. Windows sales rose 24% after the Windows 8 launch compared to 76% for Windows 7 and 65% for Windows Vista. Their sale's numbers have also slipped in the Windows Phone department despite launching WP8. Surface sales were also really poor. Overall their net income fell 4%. The PC market is dying and if Microsoft can't penetrate into the Mobile and Tablet market then it is doomed.
