How does printing money make my stocks worth more?
Usually when they print money, in time, goods and services cost more. We get inflation so why does stock prices go up when more money is added to the system?

  • The Fed's Oracle Keeps Stocks Green  [View article]
I though the fed was suppose to be working on becoming more transparent yet the simple question of QE or no QE can't be answered.
I'm sorry but no one man should have this much power over our markets.

  • More from the FOMC: The committee does downgrade its assessment of the economy, saying information received since the June meeting suggests a deceleration. However, there's no new candy for now. Over to you, Mr. Draghi. S&P 500 -0.3% after being marginally higher. The dollar moves up, particularly against the euro (FXE -0.5%). Gold sheds a few dollars, GLD -1.2%.   [View news story]
So much for the WSJ's leak on the FED.

  • More on the late-day Fed leak: Officials have become impatient with sluggish growth and high unemployment, reports Jon Hilsenrath. MBS purchases, a pledge to keep rates low for longer, or even a move to push down nearly microscopic short rates even lower are among the choices available to the FOMC. Action could come at the July 31 meeting.   [View news story]
Yeah right, How often have we heard this when the market moves down a little.

  • Market recap: Stocks fell after Spain's dour GDP outlook led to surging Spanish and Italian bond yields, and a broad selloff in risk assets on both sides of the pond.  Financial and tech names were especially hard-hit in spite of earnings beats from GE, Microsoft, and Google, and restaurant chains were dinged by Chipotle's Q2 report. Crude prices fell, and the euro tumbled against the dollar.   [View news story]
