Adaptor? I bought three adaptors for iphone 5 and the mini, so I use all my old cords too. Plus old ipad still uses old cord. And the adaptors let me use the old sony players in the house for new Iphone and Ipad mini.
More on Apple's (AAPL) FQ1 call: Tim Cook mentions over 2M Apple TVs were sold in the quarter, and asserts the TV is "an area of intense interest" (previous). The new iMac was also heavily supply-constrained during the quarter. The mix of current to prior-gen iPhone sales was similar to a year ago. CFO Peter Oppenheimer says new stock buybacks is something Apple continually assesses. This could be a good time for one. (live blog) (more on Apple) [View news story]
Last week I was defending Tim Cook's ignoring the stock price. But I couldn't agree more, it's time to throw us a bone, or an entire carcass with some meat on it!
Is he just waiting to announce China Mobile? Or Apple TV?
Earnings For Apple? Put Your Money Where Your Mouth Is! My $32,000 Gambit! [View instapost]
I am long Apple. I think I can match you with reading articles about six hours a day since November! Many of the negative stories are clearly misinterpreted. One Chinese person on line, 50% screen cut, and the like. If I only read articles, and looked at the apple stores, and not the stock price, I would have much less to worry about. My only concern with your article is that you stated that this quarter is a week longer than last years? Did I read that right? Everywhere else it says this quarter is a week shorter which has to be taken into consideration.
Since the very first Mac, hasn't Apple always cannibalized one of their products? Ipod, maybe you could call that the non cannibal. Iphone cannibalized Ipod. Ipod Touch, also cannibalized Ipod. When Ipad came out we can all remember "Oh it's just a big Ipod Touch" There have been arguments on SA that the Ipad Mini has just as high margins at the Ipad, plus it's getting new consumers hooked on Apple products. Apple TV (whenever we get it) will be the biggest cannibal of all.
Can Apple's Earnings Put Fears To Rest? [View article]
Yes, and that article was about blow out sales of the Ipad Mini. Some headlines are out there with an anti Apple title, and go on to be positive articles.
Again, Ipad Mini may have the same or better margins than Ipad.
Hey happy daze, we all know your name, you are always first or almost first to reply. And you write the same exact comments every time. Switch it up. You think apple will hit $1,000 a share, and next time apple is doomed! Makes us actually want to read what you have to say.
The Most Compelling Reason To Buy Apple Right Now: The Dividend [View article]
Manipulation! Every day you think it can't get worse. Hopefully in a year we can say "remember when apple products were flying off the shelves while at the same time CNBC spoke all that garbage about the company"? I got my Iphone 5 back in October. I remember even then showing it to friends saying "here it is the horrible phone you keep hearing about" That was October. The scratches, the purple haze . . . . funny how we don't hear that BS anymore. They have to make up new stuff.
Apple (AAPL) has cut iPhone 5 component orders for calendar Q1 due to weaker-than-expected demand, sources tell the WSJ; display orders are said to be cut by ~50%. The Nikkeialso claims display orders have been halved, albeit from an elevated level of 65M. The articles back up analyst reports of iPhone production and component order cuts, and raise the question of whether Apple needs a cheaper iPhone and/or one with a larger display to bolster its international share. Suppliers on watch: LPL, CRUS, OVTI, QCOM, BRCM, SWKS, TQNT, AVGO. [View news story]
How long between ordering components and phone ready for sale? We all know the 5s is on its way. Isn't it normal to cut the components of the 5 at this point if the story is true?
Apple Needs Product Diversification [View article]
Here is my crazy thought. A lot has been written during this 25% stock price fall about Apple ignoring it's shareholders. Well if there were nothing new coming down the pipe, or sales were down, wouldn't it have made sense for Apple to buy all those shares? So if Apple isn't concerned, maybe they know something the Apple bears don't know? The next big thing is on it's way?
