  • Herbalife, Like A Penny Stock, Unprofessionally Bludgeons The Newswire With 5 Totally Unnecessary Press Releases This Morning [View article]

  • Is American Realty Capital Properties' 8% Dividend Yield Built To Last? [View article]
It strikes me as weird that AFFO per share is not mentioned even once in an article that claims to investigate dividend sustainability. ARCP's AFFO per share in Q1 2014 was $0.26 and that's barely covering the dividend. That's where you should have started.

  • American Realty Capital Properties: Rapid Growth At A Cheap Price [View article]
Yeah, I like this stock too (8% is pretty rare nowadays) but still: at $0.26 AFFO per share in Q1, they're barely covering the dividend. And with that Red Lobster deal, they are taking on a very uncreditworthy tenant. Now management says they will improve AFFO per share while meaningfully reducing debt by the end of the year. I wonder how.

Good call there. What do you think of the stock at $100, as it is now? Still a buy?

  • 7 Signs China's Economy Is Headed For Collapse [View article]
Thanks for sharing this SanDiegoNonSurfer. For a good laugh, compare the performance since inception of the DENT ETF that guy manages with the S&P 500 (DENT: -13.10%, S&P 500: +75.13%).

  • 7 Signs China's Economy Is Headed For Collapse [View article]
I think what the author meant to write was: I really WISH the Chinese economy would fail spectacularly because I don't like the way they do things over there. As some other readers pointed out, it's easy to make these kind of "bold" predictions anyway because nobody ever follows up when they inevitably fail to materialize.

Well... when your hottest dividend stock (VFC) yields 1.80% you know you have a problem.

  • Intel: Too Little, Too Late? [View article]
I already knew you from your "work" on HLF but learning that you are bearish on Intel as well is probably the best news of my investing day. Confirms I am right in being long. Might even induce me to buy more, who knows... Any other stock that you don't like?

Quoth the Raven: from HLF's opponent-in-chief on this website, I would have expected a somewhat more detailed reply to this (excellent) article. Your brevity is a confession here.

  • Is American Realty Capital A Monster Or A Machine? [View article]
Great article and certainly a worth-to-look at opportunity for any income focused investor. What about the dividend coverage though? Just based on pro forma numbers from the latest 10-K, it seems a bit tight.

  • The Bakken Update's 2014 Stock Picks: Small Operator's Well Design Outperforms In North Dakota [View article]
Great. And any view on the spreads between Bakken and WTI? I've not been able to find good really good analysis about why they have been widening (takeaway capacity? refinery shutdowns?) and if the trend is likely to continue.

  • Abbott Labs Should Be In Your Dividend Growth Portfolio [View article]
Great article. Glad I bought ABT so far, even though, if your predictions are correct, waiting until 2018 for a 5% yield seems a bit longish.
